Will Conley Benefit?

Post#1 » by SD2042 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 7:07 pm

With Lionel Hollins the Grizzlies new coach. He will let Mike Conley have some freedom to run the plays on the floor. Will Conley benefit from this new scheme or will be the Mike Conley of old?

He will benefit and as simple as letting him go was necessary it still is up to him to take advantage of the situation. The desire to see what his ceiling will be means less minutes for Lowry if he produces. This team needs easy buckets in the worse way and if he puts up numbers like he did againist the Knicks then he may have salvaged his career. Tonight is a good night to kick it off as the Nuggets don't have anyone on there roster who should be able to keep up with him. If you have the jets, use them?

Who knows? It all depends on what Lionel does. If he opts for the quick ball as most of you are saying, then Conley may end up receiving more playing time. But, if he performs poorly, he may be sent back to the bench in favor of Lowry. It all depends on his reaction to the coaching change and whether or not Lionel will come to favor the surefire talent or favor upside looking ahead.
