Kings have 1yr option for Natt...will they pick it up?

According to Sam Amick, the Kings have a contract option to extend Natt as head coach for 1yr, $2M. They must pick up the option by May 1st.

The question, will they? Is Natt's performance worth keeping him around for a while or would the team be better off going through yet another coaching search?

I would add more (and will later), but I really should be working right now.

I don't know...maybe some of the high end coaches (Avery, Van Gundy, etc) have already turned down some of the other teams, so the Maloofs/Petrie figure that they could pay Natt one more year until the big names are available in 2010...

Natt is kinda like a ehhh...safe pick. I wouldn't be against it, but he definately isn't what I'm looking for in a long term coach.

He's not much better than Theus, if at all. Bizarre rotations and draws up some iffy plays. If we were to tank again next season, then I wouldn't be against it. I don't know how much better the 2010 draft will be compared to this years.

That's the thing, if the Kings aren't ready to commit to a coach, or a coach isn't ready to commit it may have to be this way. God, I hope not though. The one good thing is he at least has cut the 10 man rotation **** out, of course that makes us a better team, which I'm 50-50 on, hahaha.
