Well, here's one thing I'll say...

Boozer would've given up all those Bonner threes and played Duncan even worse than Memo did... but he'd have cleaned up the boards and given us an inside game. The problem isn't that Boozer's a more reliable offensive threat than the Millsap; the problem is that you have no clue night to night what you'll get from Memo.

I love Okur. I really do. Great guy, who is also fun to watch a lot of times on the basketball court. But this summer, it might be Koufos time.

I'm a big AK fan, but even with him, I'm not sure we'd have won a single game.
This team has so many problems, I'm starting to think we're just not that good as a team, despite having some good players.

The problem isn't that Boozer's a more reliable offensive threat than the Millsap; the problem is that you have no clue night to night what you'll get from Memo.

Eh I think you need to seriously re think that thought. Millsap is a sneaky scorer, you're always doing a double take on the box score. He gets a lot of garbage points. Boozer is by far a more reliable offensive threat because he has a better low post, mid range game and he opens up the entire offense with the pick n roll.

Millsap is by far a starter and above average player, perhaps a fringe all star. But Boozer is an all-star, period. Booz rakes the D glass, Sap the O-glass. Find a guy to play 15 mins of paint intimidating D at C and have Booz and Sap play the rest. I can live with the poor D as long as they keep possessions away from teams and get us more.

Boozer is a far more talented scorer than Millsap. I'm just saying that bigger than what we're missing from Boozer offensively is his rebounding, and that Millsap is more consistently competent filling in for Boozer on offense than Memo. Millsap's not going to do anything amazing, but you know what you'll get from him. Memo's inconsistency is, to me, one of our biggest problems right now.

What an absolutely disheartening loss. Id almost rather get blown out, then have a chance and let it slip away. Am I the only one that thought the game hit a ridiculous point once Duncan came back in the 4th??? Once Duncan was back in the game, the Jazz couldnt buy a foul underneath on the offenseive end....those refs swallowed their whistles on play after play. And that last play by Deron...WHAT THE F***! We are down by four with almost 7 seconds...take the two and then foul, hope for a missed FT and you are only down by 3........GOOD LORD!

Dude Korver is the only respectable guy coming off our bench with AK and Booze out.

Paul Millsap was deceptively awful tonight. He left Bonner time and time again and was so slow to recover. He was fumbling every ball he touched tonight including a critical possession late in the game when he just dropped a pass that CJ couldnt have thrown in a better spot.

Memo was also particularly bad on the defensive end tonight.

Deron has also played with no confidence at the end of games this year. He is forcing passes when he is in position to score. He played like a pussy tonight.

Korver, oddly enough, has been solid in every respect except his shooting, to my eyes. But I'm generally happy when he comes in.

I also agree that Millsap was bad in a way that wasn't overt. Individually, the plays were of that that "oh, he mistimed it, no big deal" variety, but he had a lot of them tonight, it seemed.

Memo, indeed, was bad as well. Watching him try (read: "try") to keep track of people was pretty painful.

More than anything tonight, though, I was actually frustrated by our decision to foul down three with 30 or 31 seconds left. We had a six-seven second differential in a one-possession game. I mean, I know we're terrible defensively, but you have to roll the dice in that situation instead of trying to stretch the game out. I assume it was Sloan's call from the bench to play it the way we did. Strongly disagree if it was.

He could do this just fine last year in the regular season. The injury messed with his head, and he's clearly still not the Deron we know and love yet, mentally if not physically.
