Your expectations for the remainder of the season

Seeing as Hollins has very high expectations for the Grizz, what do you expect of the Grizz for the remainder of the year?

To sum it up in one word - effort.

Effort on D.

Effort on distributing the ball.

Effort on running.

Effort in practice.

Effort in conveying to the crowds who do show up that the team is trying.

Wins are nice, but not what the Grizz should be really after at this point. The goal now is to develop a core that can be added to later. Believe me, as long as the team is trying the remaining fan base will be appeased and the folks that are attending games now will continue to come.

Hollins can only do the best he can with what he will deal with. He's been given the green light to light a fire under any players that gets out of hand. Maybe this team will have a chance to finally get pass 22 wins this season.

Expectations is a tough word to apply to this team. At this point, I'm merely hoping they show something that brings me back to the table as a Grizz fan this season. The last two years my enthusiasm has tapered off as the season became nothing more than jockeying for ping pong balls: and this year, IMO it seems that point has come much much earlier (early January as opposed to the end of March).

But, look at the Blazers.....they had a similar strategy that has panned out for them. It's only a matter of time- I figure.

Oh, I didn't mean I'm becoming permanently disinterested - the beginning of a new season always brings me back, and I have hope for the future :) But for this season - like the past two - my interest is tapering off; it's just happening much earlier this year.

Although, this trend is troubling, as next year will be the first year I'll have a real job and can finally afford season tickets. But if I had them this year, honestly, I don't think I'd be using them for the remainder of the season....

Truth be told, I haven't caught any Grizz games live this year.....so you're still one step ahead of me.
