A story about a kid name Jason.

Post#1 » by TonyMontana » Thu Jan 29, 2009 1:01 am

Heres a story about a young man named Jason McElwain had been senior of the varsity basketball team of Greece Athena High School in Rochester, N.Y.

McElwain, is autistic, was added to the roster by coach so he could be given a jersey and get to sit on the bench in the team's last game of the year.
He got the chance, and the rest is amazing to watch.
I do realize this isnt NBA meterial but it is an insperational story that I think we can all use these days.
So enjoy.

Yeah, a little old, but definitely a great story. Good for him. "I was hot as a pistol" Good job, Jason. It's stories like these that makes basketball one of the greatest games in the world.

Oldie but goodie...very inspirational indeed.

Btw...ESPN broke the story a few years ago and produced some very impactful and thoughtful interviews, etc.

Guys I know its an old story now, and believe me I have heard a lot of garbage about it on the G.B as well as good replies too
I have never seen it before and my buddie sent it to me whish his son happens to be autistic.
I figured I can share it with peps for two reasons its basketball related and its an insperational story about an young man that has gone and still is going through a lot in life.
I mean the way our world is these days and I know Im not the only one that needs a bit of insperation in his life to keep me motivated and keep my headup through all the garbage the world has to throw at me.
So again if it has been posted then I didnt know and I dont care, its a great stroy and maybe someone like myslef hasnt seen it and it can inspire or give that person that might or can use this stroy to his or her benefit.
Thats all MANGs.... One Love
