OT: THE SUPER BOWL!

Post#1 » by chatard5 » Sun Feb 1, 2009 7:21 am

I just thought I would start a thread for fun. Who do you want to win. Who do you think will win. The keys to the game. The commercials and halftime show. Anything Super Bowl can be discussed here!

I am rooting for the Cardinals, and with their offense, I really think they can pull it off. I guess I want the Cardinals because they have Edge, Warner, and Fitzgerald. I am from St. Louis, but I moved right before the Rams came over. I love STL sports, but for some reason I hated the Rams. Kurt Warner has really won me over and I really want to see him win another. He is one of the most underrated QBs of all-time, now, in my opinion. I want Edge to win a ring of his own. I like Wisenhunt. Fitzgerald is just amazing. Hopefully them not playing Edge too much in the regular season helps, because he should be totally fresh.

I met Roethlisberger and he was just ehh. The Steelers recently won, and I have no reason to like them. They do have fans all over the place, which is kind of amazing.

My favorite sports team (tied with the Pacers) are the St. Louis Cardinals, so since they have the same name I am rooting for him. Kind of dumb, but whatever.

I declared this year on New Year's "The Year of the Cardinals". So I think Arizona will win the Super Bowl, Louisville will win the NCAA championship, and St. Louis will win the World Series!

I am recalling last years Super Bowl moments, and it's just awesome. I think I wanted the Giants to win more than the Colts. Not because I like the Giants, but because I HATE the Patriots and didn't want them to be 19-0. What a win by Peyton's little bro. 18-1, music to my ears.

I'm rooting for the Cards because the Edge has been one of my favorite players all-time, and I'd like to see him get a ring of his own (even though he has one from the Colts' season). Fitzgerald is absolutely amazing and it's a treat to watch this kid play football. I've always had a mixed bag opinion on Kurt Warner, but I like a lot of the Cards' key defenders like Karlos Dansby, Darnell Dockett, Adrian Wilson, and Antrelle Rolle. Not to mention, Neil Rackers was ballin' on my fantasy team one year.

It's going to be a tough road because the Steelers are a tough team and aren't going to go away in this one.

How did Edge get a ring from the Colts season? He wasn't on the team...

When Kurt Warner played the Patriots, they were cheating, so he got gypped. He deserves another one, especially for a guy who's worked so much harder than other superbowl QB's. Big Ben kind walked into a great situation, and lst time he won Antwaan Randle El was the best QB.

Bill Polian and Co. gave Edge a ring because of what he did for the franchise, and the type of stepping stone he was in being able to win a Super Bowl.

I'm rooting for the Steelers, only because I'm bitter at the Cardinals for beating my Eagles.

I guess I'll foot for the Cardinals. I dont really care either way, but I dont like the Steelers at all, so Arizona it is. Without the Colts playing, I just dont care.

Wow, what a game. I am posting this with 29 seconds to go. That might be the 2nd best catch in super bowl history. As I speak they gain 20 yards, 22 seconds left... Lets make it the 3rd best catch in SB history and do something big! I am talking to you Fitzgerald! (or Boldin)

#1 catch clearly last year w/ Tyree.

Kinda bitter-sweet for me.

I like the Steelers a lot, but my favorite team is the 49ers, so I didn't want the Steelers to get 6 Championships. Still happy to see them win though. 49ers will just have to win it next year. :D

The Cardinals did great to make that a game--they proved they weren't just pushovers. All of these Steelers fans were acting like jerks, pretending like it wasn't worth watching. They pushed it to the brink.

If Kurt Warner doesn't throw the interception that gets taken to the house, then the Cards win the game. You can't have a 14 point swing against a team like the Steelers and expect to win.
