I was excited to see Brown get the start, but he really didn't do much, didn't hurt the team but didn't help or take advantage of the opportunity. Sheldon nees to be getting minutes, this game is proof. I don't know what his stat line is but it doesn't matter. He played physical and made his presence in the post felt. Something we have been lacking all year long. I would like to see us sign Sheldon at the end of the year but for less than what he is making. He would be a decent 3rd big and a good 4th big IMO. Everyone played well IMO, nice to see Hawes with a good game.

OMG!!! Kings win? How? I say it's because Beno and Miller were benched tonight.

On the bright side, we now have a perfect record for the month!
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Good game by the young guys. Nice to see Shelden get some time to play as well. Wish there was much more Spencer Hawes myself, I can understand the smallballing but Spencer was having a great game.

To add to KIE comments about Beno & Miller not playing due to a possible trade who knows maybe

Miller,Beno & K9 to the heat for Marion,Banks & a 1st rounder or S. parker ?

Hawes
Thompson
Garcia
Martin
Brown

That would be the starting lineup if I was the coach.

Cool win and all, but has K-Mart ever scored when he is in iso at the end of games?

Not in iso but he has hit some big shots when he's been passed to. The game last year against the Bulls comes to mind.

But you bring up a good point, and I think its something many Kings fans have come to realize. Martin needs to be a second option. A great second option, as a matter of fact he would be the best second option in the league, but he just doesn't have that killer instinct.

Didn't he at the end of regulation in that Warriors game? He took his man off the dribble and dunked the ball to tie or something like that.

Turiaf was caught with the mismatch and Martin just blew by him and dunk and tied the game in regulation. And as well as creating space to shoot the three over Buike to send the game to 3OT.

I can think of at least a few times. Martin's more clutch than he's given credit for many times IMO.

I agree.

Too many people cry when he misses game winning or game tying shots IMO. They don't realize that players miss a lot of shots over their career. Martin has had his fair share of clutch moments.

Chart Martin's efficiency in the 2nd half of games versus the 1st half regardless if there is a win or a loss and you will see a significant difference in numbers. They decrease.

People forget it was Bibby who made the clutch shots when it mattered, guys like Peja, and CWebb were clutch sometimes but it was Bibby who was clutch most of the time. Martin is only clutch sometimes, same with BJax, Miller, and Salmons. We have no one who is consistantly clutch. Martin is a #2, just like Webber and Miller who could carry you most of the time until the end, we just need someone who can close out games. Would the Yankees have won a million rings without Mario Rivera? Have you ever noticed we cannot play with the lead late. If Martin was a clutch guy we would be in the playoffs and not the Altlanta team Bibby is playing for now. I think we do need him to be the best scorer like Peja on the team he just is not clucth. We will draft a clutch PG who can be our Deron or Chris Paul. It is the missing link for us. I defintely want Shelden back he played well off the bench and kept us in the game the whole 48 minutes yesterday maybe we bring Shelden and Greene off the bench as our third and fourth big guys.

Are you trying to say Bibby is the reason Atlanta is in the playoff hunt?

1. Even if Martin was super clutch, this team will still not even be in the hunt for a playoff spot.
2. Atlanta are in the East. They made the playoff with less wins than the Kings last year..
3. Joe Johnson is the one taking the last shot in Atlanta, not Bibby

I would rather have us throw the ball down to a big man when the game is on the line than a PG try to create off the dribble. We get more options with a big man.

And to answer your question, yes, the Yankees would of won those million rings even if Rivera wasn't the closer.

They also fail to see that we didn't even deserve to be in the game do to a poor performance out of the gate.

You can say that about a lot of stars in this league.

But we are talking about Kevin Martin!

I don't blame Kevin for not being the finisher. I blame the coaches and fans that have that expectation of him. It's not him, so why put him in that situation?

Because that's our best option currently...?
