I just ran into Geoff Petrie and he is on his way to Seattle. He wouldn't say why he was going there. I guess it could be for numerous reasons, it might not even be basketball related. I thought I would just throw this out there. I think he is going up there to do some scouting. Washington is playing USC or he could be hoping over to Washington State as they are playing UCLA (Darren Collison?).

I had not seen Franciois Garcia in a long time until the big game yesterday against OKC. He has changed dramatically in physical appearance since his C-USA day as Louisville. Does he have any kind of illness? Or is it a side effect from some steroids or is it a fashion trend only?

LOL, unfortunately it is not some sort of side effect, it happens to everyone. It is called growing up and getting older. You should see me 10 years ago and then see what I look like now. Once I was active and cut now I am lazy bald and fat.

Gooden played his first game since being traded last week by Chicago. Despite a strained groin keeping him sidelined since Jan. 19, Gooden looked good early, making his first two shots and getting eight points and six rebounds in the opening half.

“I didn’t think I would be able to move and cut like that, but it caught up to me at the end of the game,” said Gooden, who left in the fourth quarter when he appeared to aggravate the injury. “I made a move and it didn’t feel right so I decided to sit down. I’m going to try and go out there and play (Friday against the Clippers). Until I can’t go no more we will make a decision then.”

Kings point guard Beno Udrih suffered a sprained right ankle early in the first quarter and didn’t return. The Bobcats won for the first time in franchise history at Arco after losing their previous four games. To keep his sore groin from tightening, Gooden rode an exercise bike in the tunnel during the start of the third quarter.

The best piece of player-movement gossip gleaned on my recent trip to Sacramento for Vlade Divac's jersey retirement involves one of Vlade's favorite ex-teammates.

Hedo Turkoglu.

Plugged-in sources say that making a run at bringing Turkoglu back to Sactown -- given Orlando's well-chronicled concerns about re-signing last season's NBA Most Improved Player award recipient and staying under the luxury tax -- holds great appeal to the Kings.

Yet that depends on Sacramento's willingness to spend this summer.

It remains to be seen if the increasingly cost-conscious Maloof Brothers, who authorized a flurry of payroll-slashing deals before the Feb. 19 trade deadline, are prepared to use their projected $7-plus million in salary-cap space to assemble a long-term offer to the 30-year-old.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

S&T with Nocioni? Idk. Nocioni will have to be moved if we're bringing in Hedo.

Our need for a great PG also is diminished with Hedo's playmaking abilities.
