Superbowl XLIII

Post#1 » by Rooster » Thu Jan 29, 2009 6:40 am

Who ya got?

I'm taking the Steelers in a blowout, but I've also bet against the Cardinals this whole way.

Also, what are everyone's plans? I'll have a Heineken draughtkeg going at home and will be sharing it with friends.

My gut tells me Steelers. But I'm calling the Cardinals tonight. Why? If they played 10 times, Steelers win 6-7. But it's only 1x. And Arizona has rode this "underdog" thing for 3 games and they are hot right now. Getting hot at the right time is what is takes. Just like last year with the Giants and Patriots. Patriots were the better team, but the Giants got hot at the end of the season. I see Arizona winning this tonight.

Well, I was feeling real good about my selection until Warner decided to do his Jake Delhomme impersonation at the end of the half! My goodness. To go from knowing you are either tied or in the lead and getting the ball first in the 2nd half, to being down by 10. Warner has to feel like crap right now. But he's tough. If anyone can shrug it off and get his act together, it would be him.

Well, Warner and Fitzgerald led them back. The defense just could not stop Big Ben and Santonio from being heroes at the end. But it was a great game.

Too close for my liking. I wanted a Steeler blowout. The important thing is that the right team won.
