BACK TO THE BRONX: TOR @ NYY. Thur., April 26 @ 7:05 p.m. ET
GAME 1 RAINED OUT
GAME 2:
10-10
@
8-11
Pitching Matchup
Blue Jays: In his start at Baltimore on Saturday, Towers was laboring toward a quality start before allowing two sixth-inning runs in a 5-2 loss. He gave up five runs -- four earned -- on nine hits and three walks. The right-hander will never beat anyone with power pitches, but his soft-tossing control game will be severely tested by a Yankees lineup without any holes. Towers can only nibble so much, and New York boasts hitters that feast on the fat portion of the plate.
Yankees: Hughes is 2-1 with a 3.94 ERA in three starts for Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre this season, allowing seven earned runs on 11 hits over 16 innings with 17 strikeouts. He was dominant in his last start on April 18, blanking Syracuse on two hits over six innings while striking out 10 to earn the win.
Lineups)(based on 4/24/07)
Toronto:
1)Rios
2)Lind
3)Wells
4)Thomas
5)Overbay
6)Hill
7)Zaun
Clayton
9)McDonald
BRONX BOMBERS
1)Positively Damonic
2)El Capitan
3)El Como Dulce
4)Alexander the Great
5)The Giambino
6)Godzilla
7)Hip Hip Jorge
8)Robbie Cano Don't Ya Kno
9)DOUGIE or JOSH
Game 1 got postponed, no scheduled makeup.
Yankees and Jays got at it on Thursday night and Phil Hughes, our top prospect takes the mound against Josh Towers. The Yanks look to take momentum into the weekend's series vs Boston. The rain out may beneficial as it allows our guys to rest their injuries and bruised egos. It also allows our best pitcher, Pettitte, to pitch against Boston this weekend.
Also, I'm not sure if DJ is playing, anyone kno?

Game thread updated for tomorrow night's matchup of Towers @ Hughes.
Hopefully we hold Pettitte for the Boston series. Either way, the rain out is beneficial because we need the rest, and our guys are a little down on themselves i'm sure. Hopefully we regroup and can come out strong.
Also either way, we are guaranteed Pettitte or Hughes to pitch vs Boston this weekend, which is an immediate upgrade over Karstens or Igawa's scheduled start.
Looks like I"m watching the NBA playoffs tonight, later guys!
