All Star Reserves announced

Post#1 » by LoveThemCavs » Fri Jan 30, 2009 12:33 am

3- Orlando - Howard, Lewis, Nelson
2- Boston- Garnett, Pierce
1- Cleveland - James

If the NBA is going to constantly reward teams with the best records in the NBA for this AS game. We got the shaft. One of Mo or Z should have made it. Tony Parker missed a month and made it. So that should not be an excuse to keep Z out. Personally, one of the Orlando guys should not have made it. All three teams deserve to be represented equally. Disrespect is always a good thing for a team.

cleveland WITHOUT A DOUBT deserved another all-star (mo williams)
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

It's all good. The coaches of the NBA just painted a huge target on the back of the Magic. Mo will play with a chip on his shoulder the rest of the season.

if Big Z was healthy he would of made the all star game, and i dont positively agree that Mo should of made it, it sucks that you only got 1 all star in the game but nothing to worry about..good luck guys

Actually, this Cavs team doesn't seem to handle adversity well... at least not immediately. You could see it in the Bulls game when West got hurt--- the Cavs should have blown that team out without any starters playing, yet they got deflated, folded, never got their heads back in the game, and lost. Obviously, they picked it up and came together after that game, but the immediate reaction to that adversity was that they folded.

I could sense the same feeling last night. Finding out Williams missed the ASG seemed to kill them. They seemed to lack any kind of composure and as soon as the Magic cut that 10-point lead down to 3 or so, it was over. Maybe they will pick it up and come together over it, but it was like they just folded in the face of that bad news. If Williams makes the AS team, I think the Cavs win that game last night.

Maybe I'm imagining it altogether, but this team seems to lack the ability to overcome adversity immediately.

Like I said in RCF I hope LeBron screws the all star game. Zero dunks, non flashy assists, nothing. NBA is becoming an enemy of the Cavs. Screw them all.

yeah you could quit being a troll and not come back to this board ever again. because im sure when the cavs beat the magic later on in the year we are gonna flock over and make a big deal about 1 game. you should be worried about your team in the playoffs. the magic have the tmac syndrome.

Please ignore the troll.

You guys definitely deserved two allstars. I think Z would have made it for sure if he was healthy but unfortunately it didn't happen. I know last night was a fluke and won't happen like that when you guys play us with Big Z and West.

Good luck until then. I hope you keep winning at home so we can be the first to beat you there  In all seriousness, though, to be undefeated at home this far into the season is pretty damn remarkable. I'm jealous.

That's a good point. Obviously the coaches weren't all huddled in a room debating selections, but their might've been more votes for Big Z instead of Lewis had he not unfortunately been injured.

Then, the Cavs would have LeBron and Big Z, the Magic would have Howard and Nelson.

Iverson stealing a starting sort of messed things up as well...

Nelson was injured in the Mavericks game with a dislocated shoulder.

Mo Williams all star berth has been given new life.

Mo Williams might be an All Star

Post#19 » by boshjonesford » Tue Feb 3, 2009 2:30 am

Jameer Nelson just dislocated his shoulder and considering the fact that the All Star game is within the next 2.5 weeks i think it would only be fair if the Cavs got another player in the All Star game.

Ray Allen also has a chance and maybe David Lee but they dont play the same position, as a Raptors fan i want them to pick Jose but thats never gonna happen.

YES! Sucks for Nelson, but I think Mo might finally go!
