They're like the kid in school who gets grades ALMOST as good as yours (or is ALMOST as good an athlete as you) but tries to get everyone to see him as an equal...

Dang MyInsatiableOne, I didn't think you of all people would play us like that. 10th title? So now you guys discount the Minn. Championships? The only time you make void titles is if the team changes their name or didn't win any titles in that city, but after all you are a Celtic fan so I expect some discredit ! As far as the little brother syndrome. That's real funny! Most of you guys weren't even alive to see the Celtics win their 1st 13 titles & after 21 years of futility you get 1 & you guys are still talking like you're the greatest. We've already subplanted you guys as the winningest team in all sports history, so what do you think is next? As far as the MINN championship banners, where do you think they hang? IN STAPLES CENTER!!!!!! This makes me laugh everytime I read posts like this because you guys know your clock is ticking. I'll give you credit for all those 60's titles against us but that was a long time ago. Since then, we are 2-2 against each other so sounds like to me the odds are evening out. Most of you don't want to see us in the Finals again for the reson you stated, but the the difference with real O.G. Laker fans, we want you guys & no one else! In order to be the best, you have to beat the best! BRING IT ON!!!!!!

Without reading the thread -- I want to see a Celtics vs. ANYBODY Finals.

Whoever the opponent winds up being will probably be too good a team to ideally suit me. ;)

Lol typical C's fan. Lake show is head and shoulders better than anybody in the west. Sorry, just the way it is. Nobody is going to beat them in 7 with or without Bynum. Spurs are the only serious contenders but still the Lakers just younger and better plain and simple.

Currently LA is better than Spurs, but if they will be fully healthy at playoffs, odds can go either way (with or w/o Bynum). That said, LA is definitely having easier time reaching finals in the west, while east have brutal competition in the Top3.
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

How can you say that? Top 3, wow! The West usually has teams right @ the 50 win mark not make the playoffs. That's comp from 1-8. You guys really don't have a 3 team race IMO LeBron's bench isn't good enough & Orlando hasn't learned how to win yet, plus Nelson might be on the shelf for the season. We don't fear the Spurs, if we are 100% healthy we will sweep them, book it now!

Hell yeah, I would want another Celtics vs Lakers Finals. My reasons are threefold:

1: I want Kobe & Company to win a championship and get revenge on the Celtics.
2: My favorite team is the Lakers; my second is the Celtics. Lol, so if one loses, at least the other wins.
3: This will be good for the NBA and its ratings. People are just not into the NBA anymore compared to other major sports. With this rivarly renewed even for a couple of years, NBA will win back some fans and the league will definitely benefit.

Dude you are hereby banned! I think it's written in the constitution somewhere that you cant like both teams  It's like the Steelers & Cowboys in football. If you're a fan of 1, u hate the other.

I would like Lakers vs. Cs - but I think the league is pulling for Lebron vs. Kobe.

That's just wrong. How can you be a Lakers and a C's fan?

You sir, lose any credibility.

I'd prefer to play the Spurs. I would enjoy the Finals much more if the Lakers didn't even make it there.

Lol. Whatever. I live in the Boston area, and I have seen practically every Boston game. I like Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rondo (don't like KG anymore as he is too much of a Douche this year); and I wouldn't mind seeing them win another championship and Rondo gets the credit that he deserves for becoming part of the Boston Big 4.

That said, my favorite team is still the Lakers. I've seen pretty much most of their games too. IMO Kobe is the best player/closer in the league today and hopefully he gets another Championship to cement that image. It's also good to shut up the Kobe haters, who really have no reason to hate.

The teams I don't want to win a SHIP at this point are Cleveland (not Lebron's time), Orlando(not Dwight's time), and San Antonio(two many rings this generations).

When and how did you become a Laker fan then?

I'm sorry but it's like routing for the Yanks/Red Sox

I used to live in LA county for nearly a decade. I was on and off with the Lakers at the time, but really became a big fan just several years ago after the Lakers 3-peat.

Return to Boston Celtics
