Talking about Kings....

Post#1 » by S.I.C. GM » Wed Feb 4, 2009 3:33 pm

Looks like the Kings are having a garage sale before the trade deadline and look which team is in the article.

http://www.sacbee.com/sports/story/1597306.html

The list goes on from there and includes veteran forward Mikki Moore, who told The Bee recently that his old Nets bosses informed him of their desire to bring him back. The Nets also offered a deal for third-year guard Maurice Ager in exchange for third-year Kings guard Quincy Douby earlier this season.

I dont know about Mikki, but Salmons and Douby I am for.

I would give them any combination of pick (GS), Boone, Swill, Najera, Swift, Simmons, and Hassel.
You know they want Anderson.

Yeah I would love Salmons...I wonder what Sacramento is looking for exactly...

Cap relief
Picks
Young Players
All 3..

I'd give them Swift, Williams and the GS 1st rounder for salmons,,,,not sure if they'd bite though...

Douby for Ager made sense for us. Both are expirings after this season and we needed a 3rd sting PG. Not that Quincy is a great back up PG or anything, but man he's lethal from long range when he gets in a flow. I remember in the Big East Tourney his junior year, RU played Georgetown and they played a triangle 2 with both men guarding him man to man. That shows you how bad RU was after Ricky Shields left the year earlier and all they had was Quincy.

Regardless, I too would love to land Salmons. I think he cuts in to 2010 cap but he's an excellent guy and locked up for a few years. We can make the necessary moves to get that cap space back if we landed a guy like John.

Salmons is just OK in my mind, nothing special. I don't think he makes us that much better were still a 1st round out with him. And you always here stuff that he's not a great team player and a bit of a cry baby. I'll pass on the lateral moves right now.
