Nice article on Kobe's 61

Really puts his 61 in a better light considering it wasn't stat padding like others and it matches up will with Jordan's 55. I was surprised about the Bird and Wilt padding of their scores.

The record for scoring over 60 for kobe is no loses while Jordan over that was only 2-3.

when you are the best in the world at what you do,people are going to try and hate. that's just the way it is. kobe is the best player in the world, there is no disputing that right now. i am just glad the best player plays for my favorite team. people won't truly appreciate kobe until he leaves the game, and only then will they see how hard it is for people to mimk his success on the court.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I think LBJ purposely wanted to out do Kobe's 61.

He did have the better stat line

LBJ would have been stuck between a hard place and a rock if he didn't put up great numbers in that game. Kobe's brilliance in that game forced LBJ's hand.

I love the rivalry outside of their (LBJ and Kobe's) actual meetings. There's an alpha status at stake and it's a vibrant but quiet battle going on. I love it. We're watching two all-time greats go head to head, in their prime.
