Both are nothing more than oversized receivers. Neither can block worth a damn (though Winslow, at times, looks like he understands the concept of blocking) and neither is worth anything in the running game. Davis has the better receiver skill set but Winslow is better running pure TE routes. I'd go with Winslow, maybe.

You couldn't be more wrong, Davis takes pride in blocking.

I did not watch Vernon Davis at all last season.
But you quoting directly from him that he "Takes pride in his blocking" doesn't prove anything nor did it add anything, besides the fact that he takes pride in his blocking. It could be that he's absolutely horrendous at it, but he could still take pride in it.
