Amare on trading block...Petrie called in?
As we know, Amare Stoudamire is on the trading block supposedly. An alleged credible source from the Suns board had claimed that both the Kings and Raptors GMs called in. Probably talking about potential deal for Amare.

Could be possible...it sayd the Suns want expiring, prospect and picks.
Jackson/Moore/Thompson/Houston 1st or Jackson/Moore/Kings 1st.
Jackson/Moore/Thompson/Houston 1st or Jackson/Moore/Kings 1st.

I said before the only way we get a superstar to go with kevin is through a trade. He probably wouldn't want to come here but neither did c-webb and Amare would be the #1 option like he has been complaining about. I would guess the suns would be interested in thompson, hawes, salmons, and greene. Or want millers or kenny's expiring contracts if they are looking to make a move in the 2010 offseason. And for sure want our 1st rounders.

Did I miss the part where the Kings were mentioned as a possible destination for Amare?
Anyway, I would rather not give up Martin, Hawes, or Thompson which is what it would take to get him.

Follow the link to the thread. There's a Suns insider who posted that the Raps and Kings have called about Amare.

Hum. I like Amare, and I think he could be a fine fit for this team. Hard to see either Thompson OR our pick go, but considering... Hawes/Amare/Frankie/Martin/Kings 1st or Hawes/Amare/Thompson/Martin/FA Point? Amare is a boarderline star alongside Martin and could be what this team needs.

I would love amare for this team. It would really help speed up the rebuilding process. I would give up our 1st rounder because I want to see a front line rotation of hawes and amare with thompson off the bench. Or as above mentioned, JT at the 3 for stints. Would you guys rather give up JT or Hawes...or our 1st? I personally would give up the first. .
Amare is no cwebb, but I believe he would have the same impact in a different way...

I would say hawes. I'm not giving up on hawes or anything but I am a big fan of both griffin and thabeet and think they would eventually be better then hawes. Or we could get a pg like curry or jennings.

If Petrie could pull this off, it would be awesome.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

More ideal: Beno/Thomas for Amare.
Amare would be a great player to have, sure, but give Thompson or the 1st still hurts. And there's a real possibility he walks in a year and a half. Not sure we have enough pieces to keep Stoudemire happy here.
I think we should make a call for Boozer. He is probably available too, has similar numbers, better rebounder, similar age and he would come much cheaper (really doubtful we have to give Thompson or the 1st, for Amare we may have to give both).

Re: Amare on trading block...Petrie called in?
I'd be a bit leery about getting Amare to be honest. My thinking is as follows:
1) The Kings are going to have to beat a number of other offers [from other teams] and to do so we're going to HAVE to include this years 1st rounder AND one of Hawes/Thompson.
2) PG, PG, PG. It cannot be said enough. This Kings team is not going to be relevant again unless they either get a super-duper-star (Lebron, Kobe, etc.)--which has 0 chance of happening--or they get a legitimate starting PG. Since Amare would take our draft pick this year we won't be drafting 1 of the top PGs (I doubt Rubio comes out but there are 2-4 decent guys still out there). Also, since we have Amare we should be better next year which lowers our draft pick out of the range [likely] where we could pick up a good PG. And, lastly, I haven't dissected the 2010 free agent crop of PGs but off the top of my head I don't think there's going to be any high quality ones on the market.
So basically if the Kings wanted a top-flight PG after acquiring Amare they'd need to luck out in a huge way with a draft pick, luck out with a trade, or get lucky w/ a 2010 free agent signing (if there even is 1 available then).

Boozer would be cheaper? No way, the guy is talking about getting PAID and will want the same what Amar'e gets. Plus he wants to play for the Heat anyways.

I would move (Hawes or Greene) and (1 of Garcia, Salmons or Martin) and give them Houstons #1. We need a PG desperately I agree it is 100% off limits. DWilliams, CP3, and Westbrook are all top 3 picks). JT is our PF, Amare the Center that is a dominating front line. There are a million high scoring SF in free agency. Anyone short of Thompson and the #1 are available.

Re: Amare on trading block...Petrie called in?
Realistically. I would give the 1st first, then Thompson, then Hawes. I'm a HUGH Thompson fan, but honestly, a Hawes/Amare lineup just works better. A well rounded Hawes with Amare could produce a fantastic matchup.
The biggest problem then is a PG, but with some cap, maybe we could work for Felton or Hinrich.
Although giving up Martin and Hawes seems a bit much, while 'Moore/Shelden/Douby/Hou 1st for Amare' is laughable XD

Re: Amare on trading block...Petrie called in?
Phoenix needs a center (Hawes) since Shaq will be retiring and a PG (1st, Jackson) because who knows how much longer Nash can play. Hawes/Jackson/1st for Amare.

I was talking about the value we would have to give to get Boozer.
