Guys: Join Me In Suggesting A New Three-Point Call

Post#1 » by greenway84 » Wed Feb 4, 2009 10:13 pm

Fellow Pacer fans. I either attend or watch on television every single Pacer game. I'm absolutely, positively, hair pulling, sick of hearing "HOME RUN!" every time we hit a three. I miss the BOOM BABY days. I know those went with Reggie and I'm ok with that. How ever I'm not ok with the current phrase. This isn't baseball and I'm sick of it. There's a fan suggestion box on pacers.com I would ask that anyone who feels the same as me to take a minute to suggest it changes to at least a basketball related phrase.

Here's a link.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=rJVuXdnvUGneJ%2b5qrxjWRg%3d%3d

I'm going to wait until I get at least 15 or so responses from this thread to make my suggestion. I will make reference to all the Realgm Pacer Fan posters that want this changed.

Please help. If you don't agree with me that's fine. If you do make it known.

Thanks in advance fellow Pacer fans.

BBBB.

Bring Boom Baby Back.

Or give the new players new phrases.

Quisy for threesy
Grange with the range
Troy for the trey

Yeah, go for it.

I'm not a home run fan either, but I know that Slick isn't a fan of using Boom Baby without Reggie in uniform.

Leave Boom Baby alone, but for God's sake get rid of homerun. I will help.

That would solve nickname issues with some of the guys as well.

Leandro = Danny

The home run call is the worst. I hate it. I also agree with people who say we shouldn't bring back booombaby but home run has to go! This isn't baseball for goodness sake.

Here's the real question--What should greenway request? What would be better?

Sorry I haven't checked i have a terrible flu. Anyways I would suggest anything that is at least sports related or at least not other sports related. Downtown, Three, or maybe something related to our recent Cardiac Kids nickname. I mean theres nothing that brings a team back to life than a well timed trey. I'm open to suggestions. For the record yes boom baby would be off limits. As much as I hate to say it. I love Detroit's guy. He actually seems to love what he does. Though he's annoying to none fans. he seems to really get the crowd behind him. Our guy seems like he is just there to press a button every few seconds. Dont get me wrong I love his "2minutes, 2rah". And his "steps" for traveling. Thats all he has. Lets get some spirit behind this team.

Well let's start with the best chants/whatever in sports:

The "oooooh-oh-OOOooooo-OOOOoooooh-ooooOOOOOOooooh"-Atlanta Braves/FSU Seminoles
"Oleeeee, ole, ole, oleeee, oleeeeeee, oleeeeeeeee......"
Lets go Peay (pronounced Pee)!-Austin Peay

Not really relevant, but I will continute to brain storm.

GoPacers773 love the avatar. Also love the help guys how about we nail a few ideas down 4 or 5 and then put them to a vote? Few more ideas. Buckets! Money Shot( may be taken out of context) or like someone else mentioned individual callings for player, but i think that would be hard for the guy.

Lets steal the PA announcer for the Detroit Pistons, he will bring more energy and enthusiasm to the arena then the current fans. And I'M sure he will think of a new three point call and make it sound cool.

While we're at it, let's steal the Detroit Pistons, replace them with our Pacers, and make them look REALLY bad...

Return to Indiana Pacers
