Yeah, Andrus is another good real life player who will be hurt in fantasy because his secondary skills are sub-par. I can see him hitting .300 but he doesn't get on base enough to be Jacoby Ellsbury and who knows how his power will develop. I like him as a player (if you remember, I drafted him in the first minor league draft) but his secondary skills have yet to show. Kid's 20 so there's still time.

We have a trade to announce. Chach has sent Scott Kazmir to bigboy for Neftali Feliz, Joey Devine, Max Ramirez, and Connor Jackson. bigboy will be around to confirm. In order to make room, I need to make the following drops: George Sherrill, Brian Giles, Travis Hafner, and David Murphy. Feliz is still a minor leaguer so this should leave me with one open roster spot.

I've now filled my holes going into next season so while I still have pitchers available, you're going to have to blow me away. I could still use an upgrade at first base and third base. Let's talk a trade Stud, I have too many Rangers on my roster. mahalo

I need a SS, RP, and 2B. I have OF to spare. Hit me up.

Wow Chach, you really got a lot of talent for Kazmir. I know you guys both like Kazmir more than I do, but everyone has to be looking at all the different ways this could pan out for Chach. Feliz is a borderline top 10 prospect. Devine will probably close soon. Ramirez is an impact bat in a weird situation. Conor Jackson could well add another 10 to his home run total this year and become a legit starting 1B. If two of these guys pan out, it'll be an even deal for Chach. So... pretty even deal; I like it.

Feliz is definitely a Top 10 prospect. I currently have three of the top 10 prospects in baseball (Wieters, Feliz, Cahill and Holland is in the Top 25) so I've got something to work with.

It sucks because Kazmir was my favorite pitcher on the block. I've had him for awhile and what's not to love with a lefty strikeout guy with blazing stuff on a pennant winning club. But he was the guy on the block that everyone loved and I had holes to fill. Because I have so many young pieces, I could make a move to possibly add another SP (I'm not going to lie stud, that was part of the reason I went after Feliz) then I'll suffer a drop in regards to my starting pitching but if I fill other holes then my team will be stronger. Jackson and Devine >>> Swisher and Sherrill is what it amounts to. Plus I have good depth at SP so I could afford to give up one guy and still have a strong Top 3 with Lester/Lackey/Shields and I have a lot of good young starters like Kershaw and Buchholz on top of my minor league system. If Kazmir finds his slider again, bigboy wins this deal for 2009 but if I can do something with the pieces I got in the trade then it's pretty even. Quality versus quantity.

Speaking of which, where's Buchholz Sett? He's not listed on my roster. Am I at my roster limit and need to drop someone to make room for him? Also Jacob McGee is missing from my farm system. That means my next minor league pick should be my last so if anyone with a thin farm system is looking to add some depth, talk to me because I won't be able to use my last two picks. mahalo

Sorry man, it seems like I made a bunch of mistakes transferring the rosters over. You guys know your teams better than me so if you spot something else wrong with your roster, don't be afraid to let me know.

Really? You sure you don't want to rescind that pick?

It's just SSK's way man, just let him be. Remember when he drafted Brent Lillibridge #1 overall a couple years ago. That was **** sweet. Nobody else has the balls to make a move like that.

^Somebody is drunk, I'm jealous.

Anyways, I'll make an even worse pick and leave the best player available on the board because I love the guy I have at his position.

And I'll pick Michel Inoa, keeping up with my yearly overdraft of an international signing.

What the hell are you talking about? I haven't even made a pick in the second round.

To be honest back then I just didn't think this league was going to make it this far, so I could really careless about the prospect draft. Turns out I really could have used some of those guys this year. Ah well.

Ain’t really much of an overdraft; Inoa would have been a top-10 pick in this year’s amateur draft if he were eligible.

Nice pick. Even if it won’t pay off for the next five seasons.

BB, that proposal is way too convoluted. I'd rather do a straight-up type deal.

I'm taking the real steal of the draft:

Seriously, how the hell did he fall to me? For shame, league. For shame.

Two reasons, not high profile and people are scared of Coors. Although he is one of the best groundball pitchers in the minors.

But I want all! Seriously I like them all. I'm not really sure what I would want to do that isn't quite similar to that, offer me something you were more thinking of.

And boooo Mauve for not checking PMs

It's amazing that a player so highly regarded (Goldstein gives him 5-stars, BA has alluded to him being at the very least a Top-50 prospect, and Sickels loves him) can be pretty underrated at the same time. Usually when prospects are hyped this much, the general public is all over them (e.g. Derek Holland).
