Maybe if PHO gets Noah instead of us, there's be a way to get them to throw us Lopez-lite.

Just noticed that I referred to one of the Lopez twins as "the younger". Bright guy, me.

Unless Brook emerged first, of course...

Hornets get: Amare Stoudemire and Rashad McCants
Hornets give: Tyson Chandler, Antonio Daniels, and 2009 1st round pick

Why? Huge talent upgrade in the front court. New Orleans can run even more and their offense is flat out scary.

Wolves get: Tyson Chandler, Tim Thomas, and Antonio Daniels
Wolves give: Mike Miller, Jason Collins, Rashad McCants, Brian Cardinal, Utah 1st, and Boston 1st

Why? Wolves get the third big to partner with Jefferson and Love. Jefferson is able to shift back to the 4 with a legit center defending behind him. When Love and Chandler are in the game together we'll see a lot of sick alley-oops. Antonio Daniels is the big defensive point guard who's on the cheap to pair with Foye.

Suns get: Mike Miller, Jason Collins, New Orleans 1st, Utah 1st, and Boston 1st
Suns give: Amare Stoudemire and Leandro Barbosa

Why? HUGE cap savings and draft picks help them build for the future after 2010. Mike Miller would fit well with Shaq and Nash as Miller could hit threes in transition and spot up for Shaq's kick outs since Shaq is actually a good passer for a big man. More traditional line-up that fits Porter's "system".

Knicks get: Leandro Barbosa and Brian Cardinal
Knicks give: Malik Rose and Tim Thomas

Why? D'Antoni gets one of his favorite players in Barbosa who'd pair very well with Duhon in the backcourt. They get better talent, but take on the worse contracts.

done deal from our POV. oh and for the record: does this screw our cap space in 2010? I assume it does... if not even better

It leaves us with anywhere from 10-12mil to sign a free agent depending on how the cap fluctuates, after our draft picks are signed. Chandler's deal is the only contract of concern for us as he's owed 13mil in 2010-11, but it's an ETO. Most likely he's not going to take the buy-out though.

I won't comment on other teams but I like that last deal for the puppies. fits 2 serious needs with solid vets. I am a big daniels fan. I would even consider giving a little more to make it work.

man I hope we get involved with these trades.

I felt like we could give a little more, maybe Cookie? But with his injury, who knows now.

I figured this makes us a little better and we risk losing our pick to the Clippers, and I'm developing a man crush on Tyreke Evans and didn't want to give up a chance to get him as he'd look great in that starting rotation.
