Harpring's been having a lot of good games lately. It doesn't actually surprise me anymore, after the turbulent start to the season.

Well, to be fair, it's not like he was surrounded with scorers out there.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

He played just as bad in the fourth with some scorers.

Knight did not play that bad at all....... I don't know where people are getting this stuff from......
I really like Korver starting...... He is not forced to take bad shots and plays well with Deron and Memo.......
Millsap, I think, had the worst game of his entire career, it just seemed like he couldn't do anything....... But hey, we still won....... Mattu played pretty well too........

Re: Jazz @ Kings 2/6/2009
I wasn't that impressed with the game. It seemed like we never got an offensive rebound the entire night. I'm sure we did, but, it sure seemed like we were weak on the boards. We needed Deron and Okur to have great nights to beat a bottom feeding team like Sacramento. I thought we made Mikki Moore look like a player with our weak boxing out. Nothing good about that IMHO.
I think rebounding is our biggest area of weakness right now. I wish we'd run Kosta a bit more to try and shore that up.

I don't think the Jazz can afford to send Korver back to the bench. It's just a shame we waited this long to get him here. It's time to shorthen everyones minutes and keep the best players on the floor and as far as SF's right now, Korver is our best option.

Re: Jazz @ Kings 2/6/2009
I was skeptical about starting Kyle, but he has been tremendous in these two games. I know Jerry won't, but it would be nice to give him an extended look and see if his play stays where its been or if it drops off.
I don't know about everyone else, but it makes my heart burst to overflowing to see us win a game on a defensive play. I feel like a proud father watching his kid walk for the first time. Unbelievable.
And I think this is as close to 100% as Deron gets this year. He's been just phenomenal for this last stretch of games, he really has. He's finally starting to get some respect from the refs, and he is developing that veteran savvy in maneuvering his body to create contact while still getting off his shot. He's been averaging 7+ FTs per game for nearly a full month now. That would put him at the top of all PGs with the lone exception of Devin Harris (who is averaging an other-worldly 10+) for FTs per game. If he keeps that up, that makes him a much, much more dangerous and efficient player.

Yeah, you can't win with out a free-throw shooter. A) it gets you easy points and B) it gets the other team in foul trouble. Free-throws are so important and Deron is finally figuring out how to get to the line.

Ya I have to agree with you E23, I think the only thing we see not come back this season is Deron leaping ability. he probably wont be dunking much this year. Thank god at least this injury happened this season, because at least there is no team USA stuff this year.

Let me ask this...
If Deron has another big game tomorrow does he get player of the week honors?

No, it will go to Chris Paul to make him feel better about his injury.

Right after the NBA steps in to pay Tyson Chandler's contract, so that NO doesn't have to trade him.
