It's offical. We'll get either the 1st or the 4th pick. Or maybe the Lakers will somehow steal our rightful number 1 and make us 2nd :/

To be honest, I'm not stressing over the pick. No matter what pick the kings have had over the years, from 10-28, Petrie has made some great picks. The kings will have a top 10, or top 5 pick which gives geoff something to work with. Who knows how any of the projected players will actually turn out.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
That just happened.

^ True, but if we have a higher pick that player could be better than someone else that Peach could have drafted. 1st pick would probably be Blake Griffin after that it's up in the air? But the higher our pick the more chances we have that our player is better.

And also add that it would be totally Petrie like to pick someone at #1 that left everyone scratching their heads and threatening to charge Arco with burning torch in hand.

Webber has said that he would like to be a GM someday. Do you think its possible he is the heir to Petrie's throne?

He got no such thing. SHUT THE HELL UP.
Woah, calm down buddy.

Yet you could say the same thing about playing Hawes or Thompson at certain points, yet he we are and are we really all that much worse off? Maybe not a whole lot better, but the promise to be is clearly there.
No you couldn't. Hawes and Thompson have proven ready to be productive players on a consistent basis. Donte has not. That's the difference.

IMO it is not really likely. Remember we hired Jason Levien as the assistant GM for Petire. He is an agent to many NBA players including Kevin Martin and Luol Deng.

And how'd they prove that!? Oh yeah, PLAYING TIME!

And practice--but more importantly they proved that when they got the opportunity to play. Donte has gotten the opportunity to play this year, but he has shown that he's not ready to contribute consistently.

How can you say Hawes/Thompson or anyone else for that matter have produced when we suck! I'm just saying I see the promise, too. I just can't say anything about this group being "productive" on a consistent basis. There are many times where Jason Thompson has made some seriously bone headed plays.
On that note though I thought he outplayed Paul Milsap.

I've been saying Thompson reminds me of a bigger, rich man's version of Paul Millsap. I still think that's about right for Thompson's ceiling, which could be all-star level down the road.

True, but especially as of late, our offense has been fine more often than not. And that is due in part to Jason and Spencer. We're losing games because our D is atrocious.
