Amare on the block
Since the Suns are in the process of parting ways with PF Amare Stoudemire. Some teams like the Bulls, Pacers, and the Knicks have the assets to acquire Stoudemire. Some people speculate the Thunder could have a hand to play in this since they are consider the dark horse in the race for Amare Stoudemire. He has a contract that allows him to opt out in the 2010 season. Could the Thunder have an interest in Amare and if so, can he fit in with KD, Westbrook, and company?

Re: Amare on the block
I think he might.
You put out a lineup of KD, Green, Westbrook and Amare
That may be a nice nucleus
Hopefully add Salmons to that too. Wow that's a good looking team.

Re: Amare on the block
So if you have KD Green and RWB who do you trade to get Amare?
To quote GetSeven
With Jimmy at the 2 spot this lineup (along with depth) has the potential to be the best since the Jordan/Pippen days easy.

Re: Amare on the block
I don't want Amare. Bad defense, bad rebounder, bad attitude. We already have offensive firepower on the squad. I also believe Nash is making him better than he actually is.
We would become the next Warriors with Amare on the team. He's just not a good fit.

I'm not a fan of Dalembert personally. But I think that I would say yes, even if it sounds ridiculous, I would rather have a guy in the Dalembert mold (maybe a little more mental consistency) that Amare. Durant and Green are playing SO well together at the 3/4 that I don't want to mess it up and through Amare in there.

So let's just draft Thabeet and be done with it

At least defensively, Thabeet should be of good help. Too bad he shows some raw ability around the offensive end. Something like that will take a while to build up.

Yes. Someone with size, rebounding instincts, good interior D and shot blocking ability. Someone who doesn't need to put up 20 shots a game to make an impact on the floor, but still has the ability to finish strong inside. A 10/10 with 2 blocks type of player.
Maybe Ibaka can become that type of player for OKC in a few years.

lol, plenty of players

I would say my top 5 (non-thunder) players would be Joe Johnson, Dwight Howard, Brandon Roy, Kobe, and Carl Landry (gotta give Landry some love for going to school with me)
Not saying that we could realistically trade for any of them (other than Landry). The big thing all of them have in common is that they are even-tempered, work hard, and leave it all on the floor every night. I would say Kobe is probably a little bit different, but he's just too much fun to watch to leave off of my list.
