Feb. 7: LAC @ Atlanta

Post#1 » by JoshB914 » Sat Feb 7, 2009 10:58 pm

I'd like to see us cruise to victory tonight. The Clippers haven't looked very interested this season, and we need to close strong before the AS break.

Feb 7th: LA Clippers at Hawks!

Post#3 » by ATL DirtyBird » Sat Feb 7, 2009 11:22 pm

Should be a win with or without Joe. Hopefully Josh comes to play and Marvin keeps up his pace!
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Baron and Randolph are back for the clips. This is going to be a tough win with Bibby and JJ out. Time for Acie to earn his keep.

Woody needs to start playing Randolph. Solo is a foul waiting to happen defensively.

The Clippers have more talent on their roster than Atlanta.... This season is a wash for LA due to many factors. 1. Coaching 2. 10 new players added over the summer 3. Injuries

Look at the Clippers starters for a moment..

PG - Baron Davis - explosive running guard that can take over a game ( has not played well this yr )
SG - Eric Gordon - 7th pick this yr , 2nd highest scoring rookie, career high 41pts
SF - AL Thornton - 14th pick 2 yrs ago , 2nd highest scoring sophmore behind kevin durant
PF - Zach Randolph - Mr 20 & 10 , 35pts 10rb lastnight at memphis
C - Marcus Camby - always leads NBA in rebs and blocks , former Defensive Player of year
You are either doing or not doing .

WOW. You would think after the block by Josh Smith and the dunk at the other end by Marvin this idiotic team would wake up buy I guess not. BOY DO WE SUCK!

Every single one of those guys is pretty overrated, and they are an awful defensive team.

The Hawks are ridiculously incosistent and most times just outright terrible. Mike being out should have this big of an effect on a team. This team makes my wanna gauge my eyes out!!!!!!!!!!!

Bibby wouldn't help the Hawks defend the Clipps front line. They are making everything.

^^ He would have helped with the 41-point effort in the first half. We let LAC get confidence by not defending and they started hitting tough shots to boot until it was too late.

I like the Hawks but am a Clipper fan.. They dont even have Chris Kaman back yet, he will be coming off the bench after the all star break to relieve Zach randolph.

Why is JJ still playing in the 4th with the Hawks down 26?

Woodson is a blithering idiot.

The hawks were down 17 to the Cats last night, scoring 43 in the first half. They have been getting off to slow starts all the time lately.

Baron hasn't scored at all on Acie either. It is their front line that has killed us.

This is exactly the kind of game where we can give Acie minutes.

I know it was probably our lack of defense, but the Clips looked like they couldn't miss sometimes. Man, does Thornton get inspired when he plays here. This is a 43% shooter, but he is golden every time he plays us.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.
