Well, there was at least 1 blatantly bad call and a few questionable ones, but I don't think they amounted to 10+ points

Held the Cavs to 30 point in the second half after giving up 32 in one quarter. Defense was the key.

from a C's fan...Congrats guys!...you are the best team this season (so far anyway)--you're doing the things that Boston did last year--winning on the road against the good teams---too bad our management decided to cheap out and not sign Posey.

There were definitely a few (EDIT -- poor) calls down the stretch, but like we talked about in the other thread, there are always other factors you can look at before you get to the officials.

Case in point -- if I was a Cavs fan, I'd be much more ticked about LeBron turning in such a laconic effort before I started pointing fingers elsewhere.

Yeah, we played excellent defense and his shot was just off. But half the time I didn't even notice he was on the court. He just seemed lethargic and disinterested today.

I'd wager to say that had a bigger impact on the outcome than the officials.

Great day of Basketball so far. First the Celtics loss, and now we spanked the best home team record wise at home.

Congrats to the Lakers. I'm really shocked at how well your team handled us in the second half of both games. I really do not fear the Lakers if matched up in the Finals. But I will not take away from your victory. You earned it and you have a great team. Good luck the rest of the way.

Also, Outlaw(Cavs mod) is real quick with the warnings if you're trashing the Cavs. We don't mind criticism of our team. Laker fans were really good on our forum the last time you won. I don't see why we can't still hold good conversation on our board as well. No one likes to lose, but it's not the end of the world or anything. I'll take 39-10 at this point every single time. Peace Laker fans, it's a shame we only get to play twice.

yeah that gasol foul on that loose ball was terrible but they were already down 8 or 9. What it comes down to is Lebron played terrible and Odom made up for Kobe being sick as a dog. I cant believe Kobe even had the strength to guard Lebron! being sick and all.

I know I dont even feel like moving when Im feeling bad. Kobe is a warrior though. Props to that man

Well as of now the teams have almost no zero animosity between themselves (may change).

I mean as far as the Z call goes that was ticky tack, but hey so was the one on Farmar with Mo Williams under the basket and that was in the thick of the action.

Always dcash always, it's never about what their team isn't doing. I said at the half it was no way the Cavs could keep up that incredible 3 point shooting they were doing and I was right. Most importantly we own the tie breakers with the Cavs and Celtics.

Dead on about the defense, U.

I'm amazed we were able to stick with the game plan for all 48 minutes in terms of collapsing on LeBron. Usually concentration is not one of our strong suits, but we stuck with it. Even when they were dropping 3s on our head, neither Phil nor the players scrapped the plan.

And that is why I get so pissed with some of the lolly-gagging we do. If you can hold arguably the best player in the world to 5 for 20 shooting, you have absolutely no excuse to suffer some of the breakdowns we do. None.

You don't fear the Lakers in the Finals? What team do you fear exactly? That's a pretty silly statement. The Lakers have shown that they are the best team in the NBA (not just this game, the whole season in general), yet you sound as if it were some fluke that we beat you guys two times this season and that the Cavaliers would handle us in the Finals.

in like barely 3-4 pages

TheOUTLAW wrote:what is up with all the touch fouls going the Lakers way?

OMG another crap call going the Lakers way.

I've never seen a home team get so many terrible calls.

See this is what pisses me off all the time. Odom has been going over the back all game and yet, Z gets called for a foul this late in the game for it.

You have got to be kidding me with that crappy foul call on Varejao. Unbelievable

I can't believe a bunch of the calls that have been made against the Cavs. It's just robbery. Of course the real shame of this game is the Cavs terrible rebounding
