Devin vs Lfranko

Post#1 » by SteveNets15 » Mon Feb 9, 2009 8:20 pm

(Bergen record)Harris admitted it took him "probably longer than it should have, maybe four days" to stop being angry at coach Lawrence Frank for benching him for the second half of the Jan. 17 loss to Boston. But Harris said he’s glad it’s "all over and done with."

"It was kind of affecting me on the court, too," he said. "My mom always told me you can’t hold grudges. You’ve got to let it go to free yourself."

Harris averaged 25 points and 6.3 assists in the four games prior to Sunday.

I just read this and thought it was interesting because i wasn't sure if the benching affected him at all. This reminds me of Jkidd and Byron Scott.Keep it up Devin and Lfranko will be gone soon.

I semi agree with this.

Yeah I want Harris to get Frank fired, but I also think Harris needs to be a better PG especially with how he plays with Lopez.

Devin doesn't draw the plays up Lfrank does. But i would like to see him pass more on the fast break.I've seen him take it himself and make or miss it, when he had two guys trailing to many times this year.He should be averaging at least 8 assists a game.We need Devin to be more of a playmaker but keep his scoring ability as well.He has to learn how to balance it out.But to me it all goes back to a bad coaching staff all together.People have gottin on me before for sayin this but i really want to give Mark Jackson a shot at coaching this team next season. He's a veteran pg who actually played in the NBA ,that the players could respect.I think he could teach Harris how to improve his all around game. But my minds drifting right now.FIREFRANK!!!!!

Although I didn't especially like the benchinh incident and want Opie gone in general, Devin needs to grow up, fast.
Even the textt to McNabb was comical. I mean how do you equate getting benched for one half of a game where you obviously weren't giving good effort, in the 82 game NBA season, to the benching of a franchise, marque quarterback in an absolutely critical, must win for the playoff race, 1 of 16 games, football game?
I fail to see the similarity and I have a feeling McNabb probably ironically laughed at the text and then muttered something to himseld like, "You have got to be f@#%$^g kidding me.", before erasing the message and never replying.
