Based on the calls, I figured more people would be on the Aaron is junk bandwaggon...since nearly everyone calling in said that he's had his chances to show us something....and he never has.

Most talked about hasselbeck, and how we knew we had something in him, but with Aaron, he is no where near Hasselbeck in the same situation.

I don't want to polarize the board but I think that the farther south you travel in the state, the less devoted people are to Favre.

Do NOT make personal attacks. While your tirade included all fans who agree with him, you singled out one member. Knock it off. MD

I think the heat Rodgers takes less to do with Favre,i know tons of Packer fans and almost none want him back next year or thinks he's still a top quarterback. It's the general impatience to many football fans with young first round quarterbacks.

You see it all the time around the NFL,fans unaware of history expect that just because a QB was taken in the first round,he should be immune to the ugly looking performances that come with young quarterbacks.

Hall of Famer Troy Aikman had a 9TD/18INT rookie year and got booed badly. The QB position has far an away the biggest learning curve on the field, but to many fans act like a young QB should come in looking great even though their brain is swimming and the reps are limited.

I've heard numerous Packer fans that don't like Rodgers say, well Matt Hasselbeck wasn't a first round pick and he looked way better. If Rodgers had instead been a third round pick, not nearly as many impatient Packer fans would have panicked over every mistake he's made.

To many NFL fans overall just expect immediate positive results from their high pick QB's,either ignoring or not knowing that history shows that NFL defenses, the speed of the game, and learning complicated playbooks have a way to make a good percentage of these young QB's look quite bad.

Doesn't mean it's a lock Rodgers will succeed, but struggling early on at that position is hardly uncommon.

Rodgers showed some nice flashes last week but as already mentioned its preseason and it don't mean a whole lot.Rodgers looked good but he looked good vs back ups and guys who never have been and probably never will be on a regular season NFL roster.

In my opinion I think the Packers should start Rodgers in 2 pre season games or all 3 they have left to see what he can do with the starting offense while going up agianst a starting NFL defense.

I think that would paint a somewhat clearer picture of what Rodgers might be capable of rather than having him work with and vs back ups and guys with a slim to none chance of playing in a real NFL game.

This means nothing. I grew up in Janesville. I have only lived in GB for a year.

Plus, it was obviously GB area fans who wanted Rodgers out, and for TT to have brought in a vet to play behind Favre.

Like I said, I believe Rodgers will get his shot, the fact that I don't think he will succeed is my opinion.

I believe that Rodgers is basically a sacraficial lamb, and if we bomb under him he will be labeled as the problem, and the cause for not winning, because he isn't Favre.

That is how I see it.
