Who Wants JVG Back!?
Discuss, after tonight's game I'd love him back.

Anybody is better than Adelman. JVG would at least have us playing hard.

I never wanted JVG gone in the first place.
Listen to Adelman after this game and you'll probably hear him say something along the lines of "I don't know what's wrong with this team".

See my avatar.
But that ship has sailed guys.
I never wanted JVG gone and i feel the same way about Adelman. Its the players, not the coach.
The locker room is split. Its poisoned. We are a bunch of individual as opposed to a team.

Ridiculous, Tmac is being made fun of on the general board, who knows, maybe he does suck.

He was probably the worst on the team today. That's saying a lot, because everyone was awful.

They're being nice to him, compared to the treatment he should be getting. He's a joke.

You people are aware there is almost no possibility we miss the playoffs, unless we go into freefall with PHX likely trading Amare. Only one team out of the top 9 can concievably miss the playoffs.

So we get to play the Lakers or the Spurs and lose in 4 or 5 games.

We do miss JVG. But its too late now. One of the main problems with this team is that I just don't think they are prepared to play on a nightly basis...especially against bad teams. And a lot of that is coaching...and lack of a true leader. We are having locker room issues..because we have no leader. And Adelman just isn't the type to strong arm people. He'll talk to em and try to work it out that way. But until someone and by someone I mean McGrady...steps up and takes on the true leadership of this team we'll continue to struggle no matter who our coach is.
I know...pigs will fly before McGrady learns to lead. He is a natural born follower and its unfortunate for someone his talent.

The team without McGrady and Artest managed to beat 3 playoff teams and almost beat the Lakers.
I'm not saying that the team is better off without those guys, but the bolded statement is false.
Simply put McGrady is unquestionably not the best player on the Rockets and it is no longer his role to lead the team.

Re: Who Wants JVG Back!?
Hmmmm, now that thing have turned south for Adelman everyone wants Jeff Van Gundy to return. How many were pleased?? How many said he was too stubborn and didn't have enough variation in his offense. He couldn't get enough out of Steve Novak and Bonzi Wells(You know?? Bonzi played great against the Spurs in 06). He wouldn't sit Rafer Alston and play an imaginary point guard. The complaints never ended.
I was pissed when he was fired. I knew it was a bad idea at the time, but the all knowing Les Alexander wanted a more aesthetically pleasing offense so he sent Jeff packing. Now, the offense is still ugly as an 82 year old's balls, but the defense that was a hallmark of the Rockets for the past 5 is now gone. Now a 25-29 team can drop 124 on them and have 4 guys go for 20+. Just lovely.
No, Jeff wasn't a perfect coach. He was a little too negative for my taste, and he was too quick to call a timeout. I still prefer him over R.A. though.
Personally, I think we got the #1 pick in the wrong year. How awesome would it have been if the Rockets had gotten it in 2003 or 2004. We'd have LBJ or D12. The Rockets might never have traded for McGrady either, and they would be so much more awesome.

I'm thinking Artest and Alston are going to be gone, but for who? I'm not exactly sure.
