The sad thing about this is that we are wasting a great season from Shaq and Grant Hill all because Porter doesn't know how to coach. I was watching the best play in March 2008 from the Suns. It is very evident that coaching is the Suns problems. We have one of if not the best starting five in the league.

Steve Nash
Jason Richardson
Grant Hill
Amare Stoudimare
Shaq

and we are 28-22? Kerr please save this season and fire Porter and have Alvin Gentry resume the coaching position then hire Mark Ivaroni...

Did Porter throw the game? Why did he put the bench in midway through the fourth quarter and decide not to ever put Nash and Shaq back into the game? They weren't even down by 20!

Is Porter trying to lose games?

We were only down 11 I think and we already threw in the towel. I know the starters just didn't have it tonight so might as well pull them out, but it just showed how competitive, if any, coach Porter is.

Yeah you guys have one of the most talented teams in the league, yet you guys seem to have one good game then one bad one. Terry Porter either needs to be fired, or needs to figure how to be a better coach, lol.

We saw none of what worked against the Pistons tonight. maybe just fatigue and nash's shoulder - when he shoots liek that you know he's hurting.
Once again Shaq is missing gimme's, also fatigue i hope. Remeber he was blowing under the hoop layups last year.

I saw it with the Philly announcers who couldn't stop saying "bet they wish they'd taken Speights" - well, yes, I do, or J Magee or several others.
Can't figure what's going on with Barnes. Tragic can actually play some D and when he gets a little experience I think he'll turn into a PG. Needs a shooting coach

It was just sh**ty beyond words to watch this one.
Mkot - you think we could just take up a collection for Spree to fly in, choke the bugger and fly back out?

The Pistons are mailing it in and dysfunctional. The Sixers are not, even if they lack either teams talent.

With all of the trade rumors the I would not be surprised to see the more talented Suns play more like the Pistons then the Sixers.

Not trying to troll, but it looked like the Suns minds were elsewhere last night. I love Thad and Speights, but they should not have won the battle at the PF spot last night (49 pts and 12 boards between them.)

--- I think with the turmoil around the team, dissension in the ranks re: Porter, everyone on the table but Nash (and I bet Nash is thinking, "Oh *great*, thanks a lot, Steve"), at the point in the season where the team should be moving into high gear, we're just falling apart.
It's just shocking to see what's been done to this team.

As noted many times on this board, people tend to have career nights against Amar'e, but Speights looked damn good.
Our rooks on the other hand ... not so good.
Between the sell-offs and the picks we actually kept, we don't have much. In five years we've brought in a grand total of DJ (gone), Tucker, Sideshow Rob and Dragic. Tucker looks like a player but gets no time, Lopez has regressed, which ain't surprising given the state the team's in, and Dragic may one day be an NBA PG. Hard to tell when a kid only plays in garbage time. Not a great learning environment.

I'm really dissapointed to see how Kerr has dismantled the team. It reminds me of the end of the Kings great run with CWebb was the most exciting team to watch at the time, and much like the Suns there were questions about whether they could win it all.

I'm sure in hindsight being good and exciting is better than 5 years of rebuilding. The Kings were a victim of age and injury, whereas the Suns have been prematurely dismantled.

Sixer fan here. Out of curiosity, how is your version of Lopez? I know when we played NJ, Lopez was really impressive. Played with lots of passion and gave our frontcourt fits - though to be fair, Sam was injured. Anyway, I was just curious to know how the twins match up. I didn't really get much of a chance to see him much last night.
