I seriously doubt he's on board when we pick though. Collison would be a decent backup to Bibby. Almost polar opposites in terms of strengths, where Bibby is an offense-savvy shooter, Collison is a terror on D who gets to the hoop at will but can't shoot well.

Wouldn't mind trading the pick for a good backup big man either, but I'd have to know who was available.

Collison can't shoot? That's news to me.

Why is no one talking about Devan Downey when they mention PGs? The guy is POY for the SEC.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

the SEC is ridiculously bad this year, and i cant think of any SEC players being thought of as first rounders this year. the closest the SEC is gonna have to a first rounder is patrick patterson and i don't even think he deserves to go in the first. he's been a dissapointment to the wildcat nation.

Collison may have good shooting numbers in college but his release is very slow/awkward compared to most NBA guards....especially Bibby.

Don't sleep on the draft. You make your team better by not wasting your picks. This thread isn't about trading off vets to secure another pick just what we should do with the pick we have.

The draft is deep in PGs and given Law's inconsistent play it might be a need area. Mills was really impressive for Australia in the Olympics. He can play against NBA talent. Maynor has better size and has looked impressive when I've seen him.

Backup PF is a position that should be filled in round 2 like Carl Landry, Glen Davis, Paul Millsap or Leon Powe. Jeff Adrien might slip to our pick in round 2 or maybe we can pick up a higher 2nd rounder for Taj Gibson or Dejuan Blair (I don't see him going #20). The only guy I see falling to our spot in round 1 who would make me think is Patrick Patterson if he comes out.

A real big would be nice, but the only impact bigs are likely gone before we get anywhere close to picking.
