HCA in the east might not be decided until April

It's becoming abundantly clear to me at least that neither Cleveland nor Boston can maintain a firm grasp on first place in the overall eastern conference standings long enough that the national media won't flipflop every so often in their team rankings. My question, as Boston fans, do you prefer for it to remain like this where it's neck-and-neck to the end of the regular season? Celtics' last meeting against the Cavaliers is on the road on April twelfth. Or would you feel more comfortable with a sizable lead ahead of Cleveland since Orlando might be viewed as a (somewhat) lesser threat than the former?

And what does this constant rotating of number one in the standings signify? It's either a sign that even the best team can lose on any night against any team so take nothing for granted. And it could be a sign that these two already good enough teams, Cleveland and Boston, could improve their team with a trade or two to sure up their benches.

I'd like to have a comfortable lead so that we can see Walker and Pruitt get some quality minuets and so that we almost guarantee home court. But the race itself is interesting and will help us be on our games come playoff time.

For one thing, all three teams have found it a challenge breaking away from one another since the consistency of winning and losing has be constant, thus far. Especially, between Cleveland and Boston. Because even when Boston had those two long winning streaks. You never really felt like it was enough.

I see a tight race down the stretch. I hope this doesn't come down to tie breakers.

The East looks like it's gonna be a neck and neck race to the end between Cavs/Celtics. I'm not so sure how the Magic are going to do but I suspect they drop behind.

Its essential for Cs to have HCA over Cavs, and probably will succeed. It would be nice to have HCA againts LA too, but I fear Cavs more tbh, plus one w/o HCA in the East most likely will have to meet Magic and Cavs, which would make it real dogfight.

Huh? I'd prefer a sizeable lead! I think most boston fans would fall in that catergory. I'd also like to see a few moves out of Ainge down the stretch. I am not in love with this roster..like last years.

What isn't talked about is whether or not Orlando could possibly end up leap frogging Cleveland for the second seed. Imagine if after Boston succeeds in clinching home court, the Cavaliers have to travel to Orland in the first round. I don't know what their head-to-head record is, though.
