I've never been a McGrady fan and he's on the downside of his career now so I'd pass.

I'm not sure

We could shut him down early, that way we can still get a top pick, go into next season with an improved Kevin Love, top 5 pick, and healthy McGrady and Jefferson

championship

You mean first round exit. McGrady can't get out of the 1st round.

Big Al would put him on his back.
McGrady is expiring at the end of '10, so the only thing we'd be losing is the chance to trade Miller for something better. I don't know.

I actually laughed out loud when I read the title and I'm not sure why. I think it's because McGrady's star has fallen so much he is now a laughing stock. I'm pretty sure he can't even dunk anymore.

Did you see his missed layup the other night? He had a fast break, all alone, and tried to get fancy with a reverse layup but hit the rim. I LOL'd at that.

I would do that without hesitation. Is he the TMac we used to know? No, but his presence on this team would bolster the crowds and that is something the team needs.

Plus, I have been a fan of his for along time and wouldn't mind seeing him in a Wolves uni

McGrady has not been healthly in 5 years, from 03-04 forward he has missed an avg of 18 games per season. I'm pretty sure he will not get better with age. PLUS HE DOES NOT PLAY DEFENSE.
I've been a fan since the beginning and I will be until my end.

Big Al would have to, because McGrady can't even put himself on his own back.

it would depend on how big hes contract is and when it exspires
if its only 2 years than we should take a risk on him

we need a star player and we arent giving up that much for him

If you told me we would be in the playoffs next year with this move, I do it first round exit or not. It would be great for the fans and for future free agents.

McGrady isn't healthy; he says he needs surgery after the season. If we traded him and told him to shut it down and get surgery now, come back next season, then you have a healthy Tracy McGrady ( in theory ).

So we play him for awhile, maybe we do well and he helps put us back on the map in time for 2010 free agency. Or maybe we still suck, but now we have a healthy Tracy McGrady who's also expiring to sell to the highest bidder. Should be plenty of teams who'd be interested in a healthy Tracy McGrady.

Of course the recurring word is "healthy" and is assuming that his shoulder surgery and rest will make him 100% for 2009.

McGrady!!! For some reason I really like his game. He's injured all the time, but I'd risk if we could get him for Gomes/Miller.

The problem is he will be 30 years old in a couple months, he isn't healthy now, and he has NEVER played a full 82 games in his career. There is no reason to think he will be healthy after surgery.

T-mac's overrated. He's getting old and he chokes when it matters. Besides McGrady and Jefferson on the same team, no one else will get a shot up.
