Keys To Victory
Pound the ball inside. The Jazz are a team that likes to shoot the 3 ball, even their bigs. Don't let Deron Williams have it both ways. Either let him score or pass, if he scores & gets other players involved it can become a dangerous game very quickly, the Jazz are a very good team at home.

Utah is the most schizophrenic team in the West, they play well at home and like a lost puppy on the road. Seeing as it's the Lakers they'll play lights out ball. It's time to start sending messages, the playoffs are like 9 weeks away.

Gotta get it done Deep. We have to put the league on notice that we can beat anyone, anywhere, even on back to back nights.

Going to be tough because of course its in UTA. They will raise their game too.

I think we have an advantage in the frontcourt. I see Pau having a solid game against Memo. Hopefully he can get him in foul trouble. Odom v. Milsap will be the tough test.

Of course Deron is a huge threat and has been beasting lately. We need to keep the ball out of his hands as much as possible.

We have to find a way Phil. Going onto the All Star break with that no one can touch you feeling could play a big mental roll after we get back to the serious business next week.

+1. Agree with Phil, dcash and the rest, Pau will show up and Odom v Milsap is huge. I look for Odom to continue his strong play and expose Milsap's inability to cover Odom off the dribble.

AK's out. Right ankle surgery, out 3-4 weeks. He said he hopes to come back after the All Star Break.

This is the defensive lineup we should go with.

Fisher/Ariza vs Deron Williams
Kobe Bryant vs Ronnie Brewer
Luke Walton vs CJ Miles
Pau Gasol vs Paul Millsap
Lamar Odom vs Mehmet Okur

Lamar is more athletic to get out and contest Okur outside the three point line. He's also big enough to handle Okur if he goes inside on him.

Pau Gasol is a post defender. He's struggled when he's faced outside shooting big men (see Rasheed Wallace, Troy Murphy, etc)

Fisher's always played Deron Williams pretty well for some weird reason. Hopefully he can continue that. I think our best option though, is Trevor Ariza. He's a little thin to guard power SF's like Pierce, LeBron, etc.. but he's a great perimeter defender against point guards. Deron Williams also isn't a "fast" point guard, so he'll be able to stay in front of him.

Should be a good game. It's always rowdy when we play in Utah. Kobe's got to play a smart, assassin-type game. When Utah starts to get on a little bit of a run, we have to answer them before the crowd gets into the game.

They are minus Boozer and AK47 but I will not be surprise at all if we lose tomorrow night. They almost always bring their A+ game against us on their home court regardless of who is playing.

It would be great to go into the All-Star break on a winning note. The Jazz are a damn good home team, but we've proven that we can win in their building, healthy or not.

Hopefully we take this game seriously and come out with the W. They are undermanned, so we need to take advantage. If we take this game, then our schedule the rest of the month is somewhat easy (Denver and Phoenix are the only challenging games). If we manage to win the rest of our games this month be prepared for lots of talk about winning 70 games. We would need to finish out the season going 20-3 for that to happen, which is exciting to think about. In the grand scheme of things how many games we win doesn't matter, but I'm a guy who loves history so that would be fantastic to see.
