Amare and Love would take the reigns to finish the year.

Pretty sure PHX can get a lot more than an expiring and Mike Miller

The suns could get lot more than that for Amare. We just don't have the assets for him. It'd be a nice proposition but it just ain't happening.

We do, but nothing we are willing to give up.

If that's all PHX wants (it isn't) then we should do it and trade Amare to a third team-- i.e. Chicago/Portland/Golden State/Any one willing to give another top 5 pick

personally, I don't like amare that much, but I would be willing to give up quite a bit for him.

Why trade for a guy that'll want to leave in a year in a half?

well for that package it wouldn't matter if he left in a year and half. I would include the miami pick as well.

Roll the dice??? Usually that term implies a high level of risk. There is no risk involved in this trade!

How about helping Washington get Amare..

Wolves get: Butler, Thomas
Suns get: McGee, Blatche, Miller, Collins, Miami 1st
Wizards get: Amare, Barnes, Smith, Amundson

Edit- Changed it to add more value for Phx.

Unlike Chris Bosh, Amare is eligible to sign an extension to his four year deal at the time of the trade, so he'll be more attractive to most teams, including ours.

However, personally I'm not a fan of the guy, and regardless of his numbers before Nash, I think Nash heavily influences hos numbers. I don't think he'd be happy here, and I'm not convinced he would make a good high post/low post combination with Al Jefferson.

I'd take him for this price, but I think a three team deal sending him elsewhere would make more sense. Its ironic I started with Biedrins and ended up on the same package (plus MIA 1st) as the OP, but I think Collins value to PHO just makes sense in both deals.

Great article by David Aldridge on how the global economy has cost overs millions, and how many are shifting to making trades based on economic, not basketball, reasons.

maybe we can try for a 3 way with portland

portland gets Amare
wolves get Frye,Bayless,Lopez

Wasent Amare looked at a lil when the KG deal went down, in talks with Atl and Phx. Suns I think have his value very high. It dosent work in Phx and I dont see this move putting the Timberwolves over the top while taking on big salary.

For those seeking an update, supposedly POR (LaFrentz, Bayless and DIOGU, not aldridge) and MIA are out in the amare sweepstakes, and the leading contenders are CLE (Wally + Hickson + 2010 1st) or CHI (Gooden + Noah + Tyrus Thomas).

Did you read that somewhere? I'm bored in my income tax class and could use something to pass the time. Thanks.

Nope. That is still the old Bayless + Alfridge rumor from last night. I think Shrink is quoting a poster on the T & T thread who heard it on the radio.

Yep. For whatever that's worth.

It makes a lot more sense than Aldridge, I think. If POR offered all that, Amare would be in Portland as we speak.
