Wow ... I had to recheck the Bobcats record. Yep - it's a miserable 20-31. Somehow listening to the announcers, you'd think they have the most versatile and talented lineup in the entire league.

Note to Bobcats announcers, having a bunch of players that can play multiple positions is not always a good thing. It more than likely means the whole team is made up of a bunch of tweeners without a real position where they are actually effective players.

No matter how many times I see it, I'm always amazed at how bad we are at EVERYTHING.

That's not true, we are good at putting McGee on the bench.

Line for the game, Bobcats +8.

Looks like Charlotte will cover so far.

Also nice to see that our only player with a positive +/- is getting his ass firmly planted on the bench.

Wizards win this game going away with Arenas. All this ball pressure would be useless.

I watched til they pulled JaVale for Songaila, and watched the ENTIRE TEAM collapse on the paint when Augustin drove, leaving 3 open perimeter shooters. Gooood night!

I hope we trade Mike James before the deadline. I's rather see the young guns getting NBA minutes.

This has to be the worst out of TO team I've ever seen. Cut opponent's lead to three. Take T.O. Watch opponent build double digit lead again. This team is mind numbingly frustrating. It happens over and over and over....

I didn't watch the game, but I made sure to start Radmanovic in my fantasy lineup. Sure enough, he hit 5 threes.

Every two-bit average SF with three-point range banks his *season* on facing the Wizards. To Radmanovic, the best thing about his trade is that he gets to play in the same division with our squad.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

A prevailing theme that's been pretty consistent this season: I didn't watch the game and I'm glad I missed it.

Just got back from the VCU game, which we won in OT. Looks like I made the right choice on which sporting event to view.

It say's a whole lot about the Wizards season, when the game thread starter is 2 lines of text and by 1100 the next day the thread is still on page 1.

Nope, I did not watch the game either. . .the write up in the paper credits both Butler and Jamison for being late on rotations that left open Rodmonivich(sp?) for open 3's. They did however both appear to shoot / score well. But 45 minutes of PT for Butler and 41 for Jamison on the game before the all star break, seems a bit much. I really hope the coaches limit thier minutes for following the break. At least N1 and Crit got pretty good minutes off the bench.

Last games I watched, Sacramento and Nets (missed the Pacers game unfortunately) were downright ugly. No sense of any offensive game plan, they ought to stop pretending to apply the frauderlant princeton offense. The Wizards have never exactly run it right, and with this squad its pointless, go back to basic sets. The defense featured a lot of people running around wildly, usually at the wrong times and out of position.

For the rest of the year the Wizards ought to work on 3 things and 3 things only:
1) How to run a pick and roll
2) How to defend the pick and roll
3) How to block out to secure a rebound

You know, back to elementary school basics. :x

SS-DD

I think Critt, Young and McGee all have bright futures. Well bright may be
somewhat optimistic. They'll be OK in time.

As soon as they get a coach that will implement sound defensive
principles.

Not guarding 3 pt shooters is SOP for this bunch of losers.

Hey dobrojim,

Do you thing Blatche has more upside left in him. IMO he give flashes of being great, but sometimes does boneheaded things and/or tries to hard to create something when nothing is there. He is a decent passer too. But he's getting to the point where he can no longer be considered a raw youth. Do you think he has another level in him, or is he what he is now?
