what about Ray, Baby, Scal, Giddens for Shaq, Hill, maybe Barnes???

Shaq, KG, Hill, Pierce, Rondo. Bench: Perkins, Powe, Barnes, House, PG???

Shaq would dominate the paint with KG and Pierce dominating the ball on the perimeter.

This would never happen but what do you think? Imagine a Shaq VS Kobe, Celtics VS Lakers finals?

Is it true that Hill would rather retire than be traded. Even if he were traded to a contender?

That would be interesting. It would take care of our backup center position also because we'd still have Perk. Another good thing is that we'd still have money in two years to go after somebody as well. The only drawback is Shaq's age, but he's still one of the best centers in the league at 36 yrs of age.

You guys do realize that Amare is only 26 years old and has a career average of 21 and 9. Its not like we are being bamboozled. Plus look at how much better our center position would look.

Amare plays no D and is not exactly the best teammate...has an awful attitude...no thanks. Disrupting team chemistry is not worth those #s...

Jesus christ man you're proposing giving up Rondo AND Ray. Just stop. Please.

The ddb proposal on the other hand...intriguing. Way too risky though, IMO.

isn't any trade (besides the Gason to LA trade) a little bit risky? Our current starting lineup is good enough to win a championship, but our TEAM is not good enough to win the championship right now. We lack the depth needed to make it through the playoffs, nevermind if there was an injury to a key player, ala Lakers. Lakers have depth, we don't. Obviously, we could always bring in Joe Smith or Marbury which would give us a better chance of winning, but I honestly believe that the trade I proposed would make us the favorites to repeat as champions.

Shaq and Kg would be devastating together. Opposing teams CANNOT match up against those two monsters. And their games compliment each other very well. Hill or Barnes takes over for Ray Allen in the lineup and Pierce + Rondo just keep doing what they're doing.
i also like our bench better in this scenerio because Perk slides over to the bench while Powe slides to the 4. Barnes or Hill takes over in the Posey mold while House and Cassell/Pruitt remain the backcourt.

And finally, I think Phoenix is a BETTER team after this trade because Ray Allen is a much better fit then Shaq. Nash, Allen, Richardson, Baby, Amare is a pretty interesting lineup.

Besides chemistry/adjustment and "We can't do that to Ray!" issues, and except for the fact that there's no chance this deal would happen, the more I visualize a Shaq/KG frontcourt the more I like it.

Can't deal any core players so far along into the season. If they want to trade a starter, do it in the offseason. I can see Perkins being made available, along with the the guys expiring in 2010 (TA, Scals, POB), and Giddens...
