Re: Can we land Amare?

Man, if Amare can't get it done with Shaq and Nash and Barbosa I don't see him doing any better with us.

I see him going to Miami to play with Wade and Marion.

Rockets/Nuggets small deal

Brent Barry for Johan Petro and a conditional second round pick.

Kleiza is playing horrible basketball... and honestly we are going to need some shooting in the playoffs... Barry's veteran presence could help in a playoff situation... defense isn't great, but Kleiza isn't a defensive player either.

Don't see anyway they trade Petro unless they're bringing in another big. Too fragile of a frontcourt, and not enough bodies.

Yeah, last night showed how bad we need a third true-big-man. Petro isn't very good (his hands are god awful), but by virtue of being enormous he really helped us win last night. Would have been a much different game without him.

Right now...the Nuggets have a chance if they choose to use it... because of the bad economy...teams want to shed payroll...I know our owner wants to as well. However, there are some players that could be had with our TPE and I believe we could get someone that could make a difference. I know I am probably just blabbing to blab right now...because it seems the Nuggets are pretty set with the squad they have...I just believe they are missing a grand opportunity. Maybe we are truly better off not doing anything, but I don't see how. I know most of you don't believe in your heart that the Nuggets can win a 7 game series against the Spurs or Lakers at this time. The Nuggets proved there is always a way to dump salary if you try hard enough... go after someone. I know it's far fetched, but maybe Washington would be willing to part with Caron Butler?? TPE for Caron...then a 2nd deal Hunter, Kleiza, and Balkman and our 2nd rounder for Etan Thomas and D. McGuire???

I know it's far fetched...but shouldn't they try??????

Kroenke has said multiple time that if a trade for the TPE comes along that he thinks will push us over the top, he'll do it. But when all that's available is Corey Maggette, we're not going to make a trade just for the sake of making a trade.

I don't see the TPE being used until this summer.

Last night was an example of either Dwight truly being a superstar and getting superstar calls, or we need to have a solid one-two punch. Nene does tend to get called waaay too easily so whoever backs him up NEEDS to be able to play smart and out of foul trouble, or at least spread out the fouls. This is Petro's window, but honestly I would rather have seen a little balkman last night with all that foul trouble, maybe in place of Kleiza. Draws the attention off the big men.

I know I am beating a dead horse.... but Caron Butler is out there to be had...he can play SG....we have a TPE that would let Washington not worry about the stupid tax... You can trade anyone in the off season for nothing (Camby comes to mind). I know if the Nuggets and silent Stan wanted to...they could get this done... I know we won't do anything because of the TAX. I know he'd be spending an extra $20 and not getting the $3 to 4 million back from not being under the tax line, but there are no guarantees for next year...who says the Nuggets will be better??? I think they are going to blow a HUGE opportunity here. Just my opinion!!!

it would be good, but stan wouldn't do it. Cause doesn't it take us over the tax line? And we dont need another scoring option, dough it would be nice. we need an defender and 3p shooter (A. Parker or R. Bell)

So finally, our 1st this year, if we have better record than PHX (probably, right now) netted the "Kevin Durant's Future Former Team" Thabo Sefolosha.

I would replace DJ with him any day of the week, twice on saturdays, and since this draft seems as weak as our scouting team, three times on sundays. And the 2nd rounder from them right now is the 34th pick and dropping...
