How does everyone think Granger will fare in the three point shootout and the all-star game?
Discuss here before, during, and after these events.

Re: *Official All-Star Weekend Thread*
He will make it to the finals of the 3-point shootout, and lose there to one of those random, non-star three-point contest winners that always win it (Vashon Lenard, Jason Kapono).
He'll play Roy Hibbert minutes in the All-Star game.
I'm excited to see the dunk contest, and I think that Indiana should really consider taking part in the Shooting Stars competition. Reggie, Tamika, Granger, it would be a sight to behold, and Reggie does the TNT thing anyway.
I will miss Sir Charles and his dunk contest comments, because Kenny Smith always overreacts (a bit).

Re: *Official All-Star Weekend Thread*
^^ That is true. They could definitely make a team Indiana. Possibly in the future?
Good idea on the thread though. Here's a real cool article about Granger from nba.com- http://www.nba.com/2009/allstar2009/02/ ... index.html
And here is Granger's blog at the all-star game- http://my.nba.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5800020629
Pretty cool stuff.

Re: *Official All-Star Weekend Thread*
I'M actually more excited for the 3 point contest than any other event just because Granger is in it. He's gonna have center stage and everyone will be focused on him while he shoots which is pretty cool. But as much as I love Granger and want him to win, I think he's gonna get eliminated in the first round. I think the finals will be cook vs kapono and kapono will win.
I don't really see Granger being a major factor in the all star game, probably because of limited minutes and lack of touches. Lebron James will hog the ball and if the East wins, he will get MVP like last time.

Re: *Official All-Star Weekend Thread*
Granger will go out on the first round of the 3 point contest, and will get lost in the stars of the All-Star game.
Had he been healthy I think it would have been different, but hes going to be playing on 1 leg, he will struggle in the 3 point contest because he won't get too much lift on his shots. I think he could potentially do well by getting to the hoop in the All-Star game, but I still don't think he will break through all of the other players while only on one leg.
Hopefully I'm wrong though.

If he can play games on it, then shooting set shots shouldn't be a problem at all.

We all know who wins the rookie/sophs game.
I'm looking forward to seeing Rush and Hibbert play in the....
One of them would be in it if they got more than 12 mpg.

Re: *Official All-Star Weekend Thread*
I just thought of something. Does anybody think that Mike Brown will not play Granger all that much because LeBron is ahead of him and the call he got the other night?
Before that game, I would have said no. But now I'm not convinced Mike Brown has any class.

I dont think that Mike Brown has a personal vendetta against Granger at all. The officials are who he has his issues with. If Granger's minutes were limited, that wouldnt have anything to do with it imo.

I'm really looking forward to the horse competition, I think it should be a lot of fun to watch. I also can't wait to see Danny in the 3pt competition, hopefully he'll be able to win it. I love the idea of Indiana putting together a Shooting Stars team... it would be great to see Reggie and Danny together.

Man, that Horse competition was awful at the beginning, and overall I wasn't very impressed. They need it in a real gym where they can do 3/4 court shots. Plus none of those shots were trick shots that the decent high-school player can't make. What did Durant get for winning, besides that horse (which didn't make it too much better).

Re: *Official All-Star Weekend Thread*
I wanted Majerle and the Suns/Phoenix to win it, but the Stupid Pistons/Detroit won. Indiana needs to be in that, with Granger and Reggie we could do that in 40 seconds.
