Mo progression

Post#1 » by TheOUTLAW » Thu Feb 12, 2009 11:20 pm

Gotta love how this is going

October 14.5 ppg
November 15.9 ppg
December 16.5 ppg
January 19.8 ppg
February 20.8

That's a heck of a learning curve.

Gotta love MoFo, but some of that increase in Jan and Feb has to be attributed to Delonte being out me thinks.

Regardless, GO MO!

Agree with caliban...and the loss of Z too...but my god was he he lights out last night. That one shot where he double pumped with a hand in his face from deep was just sick-nasty!
Is Larry Hughes having fun yet?

I agree with caliban.. West was averaging 13 PPG for us before he went out. I expect Mo's PPG to slightly dwindle when West returns but still have the same impact as he's been having all season.

He's been everything we thought we were getting and then some. He's averaging a career high in points(17.6). A solid 47 percent from the floor, a career high 40 percent from 3 range. A career high 93 percent from the FT line, an area we sorely lacked in the past. He's fairly young yet and has been a team player. A far cry from the player many of the critics said the Cavs were getting in this deal.

I don't think Mo was ever a bad team player in Milwaukee. At first I thought he was a chucker, but then I saw his stats and knew that wasn't the case. He was not a volume shooter at all. He had good percentages from the floor and from 3.

His defense was always the question, but that seemed to be more because of the previous team he was on. He is now being held accountable for his defense.

Overall Mo has been playing very well. I don't know if he is a great #2 option for a championship team, but he would be a DAMN nice 3rd option.

What? He is over a 90% free throw shooter, over a 40% 3-point shooter and is averaging 17.6 points a game. It is easy to toss the inconsistent word here in Cleveland but not when talking about Mo.

one game he'll go 18/24 for 44 pts, next he could go 8 pts 3/14 shooting.

thats what i mean when i said hes to inconsistant.

Mos great, his D has improved a ton as well. He got lit up the first few games of the season, but has played solid D since.

Do you realize that he's only had one bad shooting game in the last twenty-something games?
