Paul Pierce is on record as saying he’d favor the Celts making a move before next Thursday’s trade deadline, but that means someone would have to leave the 15-man roster. That makes this time of year difficult for players as rumor swirl.
"You hear stuff, but you try not to put too much into it,” Eddie House said. “It’s just rumors. You hear things floating around, but you can’t control any of that. You’ve just got to continue to stay focused on the task at hand and what you’ve got to do to help.
“It’s a business. It’s always a business. At the end of the day you know that things are going to happen, and it’s out of your control. I know I control my time out on the court, how I play and how I practice. The rest is up to other people. But we as players just want to win, so we can accept anything if it’s going to help us do that.”
I like it...The captain knows we need a veteran or two to repeat.
We actually need 4 bench role players. House is a keeper, I also like Powe, Big Baby.
I still think we will get Marbury.
So the last move is for defensive sf or C with midrange game.
In my eyes Tony is the first guy who should be gone, because of salary purpose also Scal.
I think Joe Smith is a long shot because he is expiring contract.
Lets see...6 days to go.
