Fantasy Baseball?

Post#1 » by magicfan4life05 » Sat Feb 14, 2009 10:57 pm

Does anyone wanna get started?

I wasn't involved last year :(

so I wanted to make sure I get in this year! :D

Yesir, thanks for the reminder.

I'll start a league tonight, and I'll probably wait to have the draft 'till later, better for everyone. No need to draft a star that gets injured during training camp.

If you guys wanna post which day is best for you I'll start tallying up the votes. I'll start with Sunday night, cool?!?!?

I figured its a day most of us are sitting at home, waiting for school/work the next day. If you normally work Sunday nights, feel free to suggest another day.

I'm pumped.

My teams always are average .500 teams. Even when I give up for a month.

I'm up for it.

Someone else make a league this time around. That league was really lame last year only being able to make roster changes once a week.

I'm in for this. Live draft, if possible? Which company, too? Yahoo, Fox Sports, ESPN, Roto, or something else?

I think everyones comfortable with Yahoo, I'd prefer it be with them.

Do we have strong preferences on h2h or roto?

Yeah I like Yahoo the best myself. I don't care what type of scoring it is, but I like head to head scoring more.

Yea.. that once a week lineup change really killed it. Forgot who made the league last year, but no sweat, we know you didn't mean it. ...and it ended up being real fun like it was suppose to be, so we didn't lose much, but I'll post the info of the league now and SW, please edit the first post to include the info. Thanks.

Everything is preliminary, so if you have any suggestions, fire away.

Please note the draft date. Sunday 9pm, March 29. Not sure if we draft that day, and still be qualified for the first week, I'll have to check, but as of right now that's it. It'd be cool to have everybody doing the live draft, so don't hesitate to recommend a date.

All are welcome, I put the max at 20 teams.

If there's an open spot I'm game.

Live draft is a must. I'm in a roto league every year with the same group of guys so trying a H2H league would be a nice changeup.

Does that mean a reliever needs to throw 5 innings in a week for the stats to count?

Each week, your pitching staff must total a minimum of 5 innings pitched. If you fail to reach this mark, you will lose all of your pitching games for that week.

This section will show you an updated total each morning. The numbers will appear red until you have reached the requirement.

The default was 7.

I think it means total innings pitched. That prevents someone from just using a reliever for 1 inning so he can have a 0.00 ERA for the week.
