Great Point. BTW, I met Cy Young winner Rick Sutcliffe in the Las Vegas airport last weekend and shook his hand. He was a very nice guy. I was the only one in the restaurant who recognized him but it was very cool to shake a Cy Young winners hand on his pitching hand. How cool is that? Oh and I realize he was drunk on the Padres broadcast a few years back with Vasgersion but he had a beer at the restaurant and drank only 1/3 of it so I think he learned his lesson. I was actually going to flag the waitress down and buy his lunch for him since he was so nice and accommodating to me after I approached him but he ate and left so quick that I wasn't able to flag the waitress down in time to do that. Either way, you gotta love baseball guys, they are so down to earth compared to basketball and football players that they seem like just normal guys when you meet them.

Please tell me why this was great?

I have a problem with the people that throw them selves at Brett's feet, just as I do to the people who take the other side and only focus on the neg.

This guy obviously feels that int's are the key stat. He fails to mention that Brett has more wins than anyone, and never missed a game.

For the man who has the most passes thrown, you're going to have a higher number of int's. For someone who played as many games as brett did, you're going to have your share.

He is a risk taker. If he didn't take those risks he wouldn't have as many int's, but he probably won't have as many wins, and TD's.

This guy is a idiot who in no way means what he just wrote. He wrote it to get noticed, and get people to come to that podunk site.

Crappy artile. Just like if Madden wrote a love story, that would be = as crappy.

I think you can argue with the tone of the article, but I think his assertion that Favre is overrated is a valid point. I think he's probably top 20-30 all-time. Yes, you would expect someone who has the most passes thrown to have the most int's and touchdowns and wins, but don't confuse longevity with greatness. His career int % and passer rating don't match up with the great qb's. To me he had a little bit of choke artist in him too. Teams win and lose as a team, but I think he was the main reason we lost so many playoff games we could have won. And yes, he won a Super Bowl, but it was with the #1 defense and special teams. I would also agree with the writer that Kurt Warner and Bart Starr rank higher all-time. Anyone that says Favre's in the top 5 is basing their opinion on something other than the facts.
I'm a lifelong Packer fan and rooted for Favre the entire time he was a Packer. I even have a Favre Fathead in my rec room. (I was a little embarrassed about owning it last year though) Favre's a great QB, just not as good as most people seem to think he is.

"Great article". Please. I don't care what his opinion on Favre is but it isn't even well written.

I'll go with Cold Hard Football Facts assessment of QB's. This was written before this past season.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

That was very interesting and a good read...I am wondering if last season knocks Favre out of the top 10. Favre's poor season last year coupled with less than impressive play thoughout the 2000's is making 07 look more like a fluke. I guess I am surprised that Elway didn't make the top 10, personally I always thought he was near the top.

Debating who are the best and top 10 and all that is always interesting because there is no way anyone is "right". And when talking all-time, fans will always tend to favor players they know rather than players they've never seen play. I think CHFF's reasoning on making Starr #1 is pretty compelling.

come on, if you didn't like it because he slandered your man-crush, just admit it. :D

that's not a bad list, but I obviously wouldn't have Brett in there or Staubach. Marino has to be in there somewhere. Bart #1? I don't know about that, but he's definately in the conversation.

I can't argue with anything they said about Starr.

I will not believe it til i see it opening week, but if it is true good riddance. I respect everything he has done for our team but enough is enough.
