The Detroit Pistons will trade seldom-used guard Alex Acker to the Los Angeles Clippers for an exchange of future draft picks, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Sunday.

Wooooo! Yeeaaah!

Aren't these trades a bit unnecessary now? Our team is getting healthy and we have Gordon, Ricky, and Freddy handling SG now. Mardy and Taylor should be back soon to backup Baron. We still have Hart too..

So I'll just say ack to Acker.

It's one of those deals where you're probably getting a second rounder and/or cash along with it. Detroit needed to give Acker to somebody to get under the Luxury tax, so they can get a piece of the tax payout.
Rip Hamilton is a stain on the Pistons franchise.

Does this mean that Samb was waived? We already had 15 players on the roster.

Yeah we would have had to waved some one, unless we just wave Acker right when we get him.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

The Pistons have three second-round picks in this year's draft. One of those will most likely be sent to the Clippers.

This would somewhat make up for the pick that we gave up to Portland for Taylor.

Seems like a trade was made just to make one.
