uhhh, except for the fact that Hansbrough and Budinger are extremely athletic....

But they're countered by Jefferson's lack of athleticism.

Re: Would drafting Greg Monroe be redundant
so Al Jefferson will suck away all the rest of the team's athleticism like a zombie? Or did you just forget Hansbrough and Budinger were athletic?
Jefferson isn't even that unathletic, just slow on D. He wouldn't hammer those pivot dunks around the basket if he was unathletic.

Re: Would drafting Greg Monroe be redundant
Speaking of... Budinger would be a fine pick around 18-- we need outside shooting and he has it.
As high as Thabeet's bust potential is, I wouldn't mind ending up with him either. This is a team that could use shotblocking, and he'll definitely be a good shotblocker at the NBA level.
Oh, and I think Harden is wildly overrated.

He reminds me of a Brent Barry that cant handle. Not a bad player, but I concern about his defense.

Budinger looked like he was handling the ball alot against UCLA yesterday. I don't know if he's a point forward or anything, but it was an aspect I didn't know he had.

I love how you got completely worked up over an obvious joke post. It's ok, no apology needed.

Re: Would drafting Greg Monroe be redundant
I got worked up because I'm sick of Hansbrough being ragged on like he's some sort of stiff. The guy is an athletic specimen and should be picked higher than the 21-25 range everyone seems to have him in.
Too bad we can't take advantage of it, since we already have 17 power forwards.

Hansborugh?
Don't we already have Mark Madsen?

I'll be honest, it's very HARD not comparing the two. Maybe it's because they're both white guys who can dance?

Re: Would drafting Greg Monroe be redundant
I think that is a racist comparison.
Hansborugh is a much better offensive player and intense player than Madsen. He will struggle because he is undersized as a 4 and lacks the high post game an undersized 4 needs. He will be a long-term good bench 4 to have (leon powe role) but not a starter.

I wasn't being sincere, just a playful jab to Rakocevic.
They are both white really intent PF's though. The only difference b/t the two is their talent.

Just because I think white's are at a disadvantage at basketball, doesn't mean I'm racist.

Re: Would drafting Greg Monroe be redundant
Who will be a better pro between Harangody and Hansborouh? Similar names. Similarly underized. Similarly lacking athleticism. Both similarly projected to struggle at the next level. I'm wondering if Harangody could be another Craig Smith-- undersized, but effective of offensive.

Smith is much stronger and quicker than Harangody.

Re: Would drafting Greg Monroe be redundant
Harangody is a pretty strong dude, especially on the lower body. I don't know if Smith beats him in an Indian Leg wrestling match. Harangody also can hit a J from anywhere inside the circle.
