what could a J-Rich/Amare package fetch?

Post#1 » by jazzy_jeff » Mon Feb 16, 2009 9:59 pm

The sentiments here today seem to be to ship off J-Rich, and I can't disagree.

I'm not sure who would want him, but what if he was packaged with Amare? That might be able to get the Suns something good

What about Parker + Kapono + cash from Toronto?
Partial cap relief + a player who fits the system and cash in lieu of a draft pick which Sarver would love.

You mean just for J-Rich or J-Rich + Stat?? Since if it's the latter, that would be worse than trading for Karl Malone 2.0 IMO.

I wouldn't. All that would do is make us even older. Rasheed's an expiring, so we'd essentially be trading Amare and J-Rich for Rip, Amir, and a first. No thanks.

Doesn't matter if Sheed's expiring, he's still a very good post defender that would fit great next to Shaq with his shooting/willingness to play off the ball, and we could either convince him to stay or make use of the free capspace this offseason.
Rip is a better fit then JRich as far as winning basketball games since he's a better defender, Amir Johnson is a nice young PF for the future (that provides depth for now), and to thanks Allen Iverson the Detroit draft pick is actually gonna be pretty good.
Do it.

Thanks to both AI and Curry.

I would do that deal from Detoit's end. Of course I would try and sneak in Maxiell instead of Amir but would do it either way.

More interesting would be Shaq + JRich.
