Interesting article about Brady Quinn, talking about his draft day slide, and the people who criticized everything about him from his accuracy to his hair (Theisman). Poses the question, maybe we over analyze guys like Quinn who have their every game on national tv, and give guys like Alex Smith (Utah, who we never saw) the benefit of the doubt.

To preface, I'm a ND fan, so I'm hardly impartial.
But I was saying these things before the draft. It happened to Matt Leinart too, to a lesser extent. It was hilarious watching some pundits rip Quinn because he lost the "big" games. His defense was one of the worst in the nation and they often couldn't establish a running game. Yet everyone expected him to carry them over USC, LSU and Michigan, who all have great offenses and defenses. He beat Michigan two out of three times in his career, but apparently he can never win a big game.
He came into the season with insane expectations and ND had a hugely inflated ranking. At the first sign of dissapointment, everyone started to pick apart his game until some people were saying he was a third-rounder. He's still the same QB he's always been, and since his junior year I've thought he'd be a Top 10 QB in the league for a long time.

1. A blog is not an "article".
2. Your blog isn't that good.
