He's already been contacted by the Panthers, no word on how serious those talks are. I would suspect the Bengals are interested too.

The Bengals would be interested if the front office understood that they can sign players.

well pnf what does trotters arrest record look like? they'd also have to evaluate how good his mugshot looks like and if he's photogenic in that light.

Why'd he get waived? He was the best LB the Eagles had. Do they not think they can compete this year?

i dont know what his contract status is but maybe he's way overpaid, it cant be for the compete thing b/c they might be the best team in the nfc. maybe he has some sort of injury who knows.

What I understand, Gaither was outperforming him and there was no point for him to be a back up.

trotter is still a good player in my eyes but he isn't what he used to be in the past. yeah he's good at run support but he seemed to have difficulty covering receivers last year. his knees are going downhill which made him a liability in coverages. i went to eagles training camp and i can tell you that gaither did really outplay trotter. the eagles had a good reason to release him. some teams could use trotter but just don't expect to see trotter back to his old dominant self.

Do you think he can comeback and play second fiddle to Gaither??or does he have too much pride?
