watching game tapes huh? kobes ethic rubbed off on him...and he rocks number 8 now 8-)

Darius Songaila, who also lives in the area, planned to do some hunting over the four-day break. Some of the team's young players, such as rookie center JaVale McGee, were headed to Phoenix to experience All-Star Weekend as observers rather than participants (no Wizards are involved for the first time in a decade).

Second-year guard Javaris Crittenton was one of the few stragglers, and as he slowly dressed and got ready to head back home to Atlanta, he was asked about his plans.

"Man, I'm going to be watching tape, studying," said Crittenton, whose playing time has steadily increased since arriving in a trade from Memphis in December. "Got to get better. That's it. Got to come back ready to play better basketball. I know I want to keep getting better."

Nice find. Just one of the many reasons I love this kid. I hope he somehow wears P&G again soon.

judging from your past posts about crittenton..you just dont like the guy..wizards fans say hes their best point guard..and the only player on their team that plays any lick of defense..with that said..dude has a future

I'm not too familiar Patterns and his/her past comments, but I hope Patterns is wrong, too.

On the one hand, you can see where Patterns is coming from, its never a good thing when a young guy gets shipped around early in his career. Its usually an indication of a major flaw in his game.

On the other hand, I wouldn't make too much of how often Critt has been moved. He was dealt from the Lakers b/c we were getting a steal. He was dealt by the Grizz b/c they had like 5 PG's. Early signs are that he will stick with the Wiz for a while.

Its rare to find a guy with so much talent, drive, and HUMILITY...(clearing my throat)...Jordan Farmar, you listening?

Speaking of which, I might need to pay more attention to Wizard games this year. I've always been a fan of his game and think he could mature into a good player under Kobe's guidance. I seriously don't know how some manage to watch at least half of the games available on league pass.

Of course.

Crittenton has a tweener size, aka the Wades, Gordons, Arenas. However, he's neither a floor leader, a play maker, or a scorer. He can't be trusted as your PG and he doesn't have the scoring ability that has kept Ben Gordon on the floor. He doesn't show any poise at all on the floor that other young PGs have shown. For a guard, he has atrociously bad FT% which is an indicator of his work ethic and/or his overall shooting form.

He's athletic, yes, but nothing out of the ordinary comparing to other NBA athletes.

Again, I could be wrong because he could work his butt off in the summer for 10 hours everyday and come back a completely different player.
