Do it as long as we don't have to take back long contracts in return. McCants could play for us, Douby and Moore are worthless.

Only problem is that if it is Moore and Douby then Minny has to throw someone else into the mix as the salaries do not come close. That is the scary part, who else are they gonna give us.

It's just so pointless on multiple levels.

Jason Collins would be the obvious choice.

Maybe on the surface. But if we are trading Salmons then it makes sense to grab a backup sg since Garcia would probably move into Salmons position. McCants >>> than Douby and Moore. If it doesn't workout we can let him walk I believe.

I agree, that would be ideal.

I do remember hearing the Kings wanted to draft McCants originally, so maybe they figure it's a free look at somebody. If nothing else it saves the Kings 2.5 million dollars next year. Do it Petrie!!!

I'm not certain, but the Wolves may have space enough available to absord the difference without having to add anything else which would create a TPE for us of about 5.5 million if I am getting that right.

that TPE could then be turned around and used in a trade with Miller to bring back a bigger contract (Amare?) without having to add in that much.

Makes the roster #'s work too.

TPE can NOT be added with another salary. They TPE has to be able to ABSORB the entire incoming salary.

I like the trade idea. McCants can be a good scorer off the bench. Douby and Moore are not playing anyway so why not. McCants is still young and I think could bring a much needed spark off the bench especially when Cisco starts after Salmons gets shipped out.

I proposed this type of trade to the Minnesota boards when Jefferson went down. They wanted us to take back cardinal, so I think that this will be the dealbreaker. If Minnesota won't budge, the trade won't happen.

I don't see the incentive for Minny unless they feel Douby/Moore can be something for them or McCants just needs to go.

I'd LOVE to get McCants, but would HATE to get Cardinal with him, Collins I guess would be ok. But overall, I like the trade, hopefully it goes down.
