No doubt. That was one of the harder dunks, and much of it was Gasol's fault for not having the timing (kinda hard to do without enough practice). He should have advanced over the other 2 boneheads.

No one has mentioned LBJ's dunk, the last play of the game? It might not have the same difficulty of the Rudy, or the off the side of the glass as D12's did, but he finished with two hands with power, it was spectacular. I think that's why Rudy's wasn't judged a 50 was because he barely got it in, there wasn't a great finish to it. D12 screwed up, not only because he aided Nate, but because he didn't save that skyscraper dunk until the final.

The dunk contest was good because of the theatrics, not necessarily because of the dunks, hopefully they take that into future years and we see both the theatrics and the great dunks.

3 point stunk, obsticle course thing, they were all half trying, Rookie/Soph was better than the ASG (aided, cuz I love seeing the new influx of talent, maybe not the top tier talent, but the deepest talent pool I can remember), the horse award was awesome, some store bought plastic horse is fitting, lol. I want one, lol.

The AS Weekend wasn't a great one, but it is always good, next years should be better. PHX is a great location, but LBJ in the dunk contest in DAL will be must see tv, and all those great rookie/sophs from this year will have a chance to be in the game, and AB17 will be there!

Notes: I'll give Kenny Smith a break, this weekend he gets a little big headed, that's like his one weekend a year where he is kinda the mayor of the ASWeekend. Reggie Miller does a fantastic job, he's the new Kenny. Did anyone hear anything about Sir Cumference from the weekend. The party is in his hometown, and he had to stay underwraps? Hard to believe he wouldn't partake, even with his current legal issue. Maybe they had him in private areas of the club, away from the cameras.

One of the worst All Star Weekends. Period. I didn't see the Rookie game, but I watched everything else.

The HORSE game was pathetic. I expected to see some crazy moves and layups or creative shooting, but there were far too many jumpers there, mostly because of Durant.

The three point contest was blah, nobody had any real streaks. Lol @Capono.

The skills challenge was subpar. There was no effort from the players. There were just cruising by.

The Shootout was mildly exciting because of the half court shot. But it was still blah.

Finally the All-star game. Where were the trick shots, and crazy maneuvers you don't see in a real game. Yeah, there were a few, but it was mostly jumpers and normal layups. I was annoyed at Kobe for dishing out long 2's and 3's instead of taking it to the whole and creat some offense. I also felt Lebron didn't go to the hole enough. What gives? Then Yao played like himself by not showing up. What a waste of a center starting spot. Then the East's reserves got exposed. Many of them didn't desere to be there. The second half was an embarrassment. The East was just scrambling around with no leadership. I guess that's what happens when AI is your starting point guard.

The best things about the All-Star Weekend:

-Shaq's poppin and lockin with the jabawockeez
-Craig Sager's favorite dance crew - The WockaJabeez

I like this guy he watched the whole weekend like me. Shaq as fun as he was to watch, he kinda killed the momentum when he started goofing off , and they all kinda laid off the accelerator. As great as DWade & LBJ are, neither is much of a shooter, regardless they should have put up more of a fight from the East. I wonder if those guys party hard on Saturday night before the Sunday ASG? Shaq's thru the legs move was great, but I prefered LBJ's final dunk, as the play of the game. Kobe is brilliant and I love that he is a LAL.

Man my second favorite NBA team is the Thunder. They have my boy R Westbrook, Durant, Green, now TChandler. Go Thunder!

Shaq and Kobe would just be back to their old one to two punch that got them 3 titles. It's almost a no brainer of a deal to be made if possible.

This is one of those moments where a flagrant 2 off the court might come into play and the consequences would be more than worth it.
