No playoff depth!
We sure are in trouble coming playoffs.
We basically have only 10 players, who can contribute. And of this 10, 4 are big liabilities.
Starting 5 + House
Powe
Big Baby
Scal
Pruit
This surely wont be enough to repeat. Even if we get Marbury, what would be huge, we still need at least one defensive sf, who could guard Lebron.
I think we are ok in pf/c position with Powe, Baby and Scal. If Baby can hit mid range jumper and Scal plays like this year when he started we will be ok.
Marbury, House is great pg/sg duo.
But who will guard sf, who will guard Lebron.
I think Tony is out, even when he come back he will be totally out of form. It is better for us he doesnt return for playoffs than Doc forcing to play him.
Come on Danny...something?

I disagree with the last point about Tony. Of course you want Doc to play him if he's healthy. If the team is lucky enough to acquire Marbury, you don't need to use Tony as a ballhandler. You let him focus defending and he can be effective. IMO acquiring Marbury is key because he allows all the other guys to fall into roles that they can perform well in.

if carter gets traded to the spurs and bowen goes to the nets i would like to see the nets buy him out. Then we can have him come off the bench

This is huge, especially for House... I would love to see a Marbury/House back court off the bench allowing Eddie to play the 2 spot

Re: No playoff depth!
If Bowen gets bought out it seems almost impossible that he would sign with the Celtics over the Spurs.

Re: No playoff depth!
I don think the trade will happen anyway, too much room jersey has to make to have it work..
and Bowen would definately head straight back to the spurs, though he would be perfect

Exactly, Marbury is so needed. Damn, give him that additonal 1 mio under the table, that he can get out of the deal.

Re: No playoff depth!
Posey didn't do that good of a job on LeBron or Kobe in the playoffs, Pierce was much much better. We should've kept Darius.

Re: No playoff depth!
Well it wasn't so much of a matter of Posey being good against those guys but he was at least a respectable defensive option. Tony should be looked at in much the same way. The problem is that Scals and the rookies would not, IMO, represent respectable options against Lebron, Joe Johnson, DWade, Kobe, etc.

Re: No playoff depth!
I am extremely worried. If we go to playoffs looking like this we won`t repeat. We need at least 2 more rotation players. Why do we have so many young guys on the team? It makes NO sense...

This should teach AInge a lesson. From now on, he has to do it in the offseason.

Re: No playoff depth!
Teams' rotations usually shorten in the playoffs and the starters are able to get more minutes, due to not needed to conserve energy, which means the bench will get more minutes with the starters and therefore be more effective.
